Oh man. Samsung and Best Buy caught up on the trade ins. They lowered the S21s to only $600 in trade-in value.

Does anyone remember any S22+ slickdeal last year with an s21 trade in when it came out if it was good that would be a good prediction of what kind of deal we could expect with s23+ with an s22 trade in

Secure S22+ by making pickup order.
Went to BB and told them I wanted to do enhanced instore trade in deal.
Traded in S21, it made $600 store coupon and $200 BB giftcard.

They made a transaction for S22+ by using coupon and BB gift card.
Then they canceled my pickup order.
Finally I got S22+ and $37.64 BB giftcard by trading in S21.

Worked like a charm. Bought S21 ultra in fb marketplace for $320 ad traded for $900 for S22 plus. Came out with $129 in gift card

I've got an S21 which I'm still receiving bill credits for, and for which I apparently will lose credits if I pay it off now and unlock it. Has anyone run into this?

Idk why people be voting you down. This is the way. The trade in value of the s21 will be $490 max while Samsung should give you at least $700 for the S22+, plus store credits to buy other stuff.

I'm not sure about $1000 there but it's gonna be a heck lot better than the s21 for sure.

Which carrier?

If it's t-mobile you can pay off and still receive bill credits (chat with customer service to have a piece of mind, but I'm sure about this).

If it's at&t then no, unfortunately at&t policy is pretty crappy you will be stuck with that phone for full 36 months. If you pay off you will lose all remaining bill credits.

Idk about other carriers.

Depends what state you live in. Tax may cancel out the savings but still a good deal to roll over to the higher model and at least not owe $ to do so.
