I believe they're the same company, or very closely associated. I had this system via the same deal last November on my 4Runner and it was amazing. Might get it again for my GLI, but not sure if I need it since I can remote start from the app. The key fob based remote start is trash though so this is enticing. Solid deal.

I've had this in my one car for a year and it's been great. Didn't have Best Buy installed, did it myself. Ordered another one for my new truck and just needing to get it installed.

Both of my pos honda remotes died at the same time. It costs $225 to cut and program each key at dealer or $100 at local locksmith if i bring my own new fob. I see cheaper on amazon but seem flaky. Not user programmable anymore like in old days. Would this somehow work instead of oem remotes for doors? Is it hard to self-install? I've never done it.

How difficult would you say this would be for someone familiar with wrenching on cars, but the only automotive wiring experience they have is working on stereos? Thanks in advance.
