these cheap phones are great to keep at in the car, at work, or in your bag just in case for emergencies. just remember to at least use them about once a month to keep them active else they could go inactive and then game over.

Yes. If you wait 60 days before transferring the minutes/airtime and haven't added 4+ lines to your account already, you'll also get 10k points per line. 20k points is worth much more than 120 (60*2) days of airtime, so that's usually the way to go (plus then you can unlock the phones and make them more useful as a donation if you just care about the airtime.)

This is essentially 20k points (2x Add-a-Line bonuses) on Tracfone for $30, 20k points gets you a $300 off coupon. That gets you multiple refurbished iPhone XRs you can trade in for a Pixel 7 or for Apple GC credit.

if you are brand new to tracfone dont forget to use a referral code for 5,000 points. then if you want to activate the other phone just add it to your account and get another 10,000 points. google "tracfone referral"

Called tracfone to attempt to add a line. Customer service said the phone only has 1 year service with only 400 minutes; no text or data include. Customer service thought they might triple the minutes; unfortunately no. If I claim that phone is defective and attempt to return it I will have to pay shipping. This really sucks. This is on both phones. Deciding if I should keep the phone just for the 20000 points.

I'd try a different TF rep, no one else has reported having issues getting the 1200/1200/1200 & year.
Check with HSN, they should waive the return fee if phone isn't as advertised.

Talked to a second rep and Marie appears to have fixed everything. The first rep asked for the last 4 digit of the sim which Marie never asked for. Yes I got my 20000 points after talking to the first rep.

That makes sense. Your first rep had no clue what they were doing. Glad you got it fixed.

Do you see rewards points pending for 2nd phone? Most have had to activate phones by chat to get add a line rewards.

Yes, that is how I got 20000 points. When the first rep who claimed that I have only 400 minutes, I asked him to find out how many minutes I have on the second phone. The end result was that he added both lines.

Gotcha, rep added, then you activated. BTW these really are crappy phones but they're good for rewards and cheap service time (after the 60 days).

I cannot find 'menu' or 'setting' on either using the webbrowser or the app. Can you tell me ;where on the screen can I find it.

I can't find the 'chat' function either. On the app it comes up as a blank page. On the webpage, there is no link on the chat function that I can click. I used 'help and support' and went to 'ONLINE CHAT'

You need to drag the box to the middle of your screen, then use your cursor to pull down the lower right corner to see link.

when you open the phone at the bottom of the screen there should be"Contacts Menu Message" press the middle of the round button at the top of the keypad. then the apps screen should come up. use the arrow keys to page down and to the right to 'settings'. then press the middle of the round button to select 'settings'. then page down to '5. phone settings'. then page down to '6. Security' and press the middle of the round button.

Yes, I signed up for an HSN account and then, while logged in, added this item to my cart and checked out via paypal. The order confirmation page and email show 49.99 + 4.91 tax, total 34.90. However the paypal e-mail shows authorized payment of 54.52. Also, when I go to order status at the HSN website it does not show any orders.
I don't know if this is what happened to you, but what happened to me... Somehow, even though I created an account (got the email verifying that I opened an account, immediately started getting spammed with emails from them), somehow when I checked out it was a "guest checkout" (checkout with no account). I think that's crazy, because I applied the first time code (for $20 off) and my total reflected it (-$20, like yours). But the charge on my CC was $54.xx
I chatted with an agent to get it resolved and he insisted (and concur) that it went through as a guest checkout-- because when I look in my orders on my account, there is nothing there. Not sure if it is a glitch or what. So in my case, they didn't give the credit because I wasn't logged in. This made me mad, since my intent was to be logged in and get the discount (kind of the point of the deal for). But in the end, after explaining my intent several times ("I made an account. I added the discount code, it showed up on my Total screen") the chat agent refunded $20 to my card. Don't know if that will help anyone else in the same situation.
Also, just for clarity-- this is done with HSN-- NOT with Tracfone (as they didn't sell me the phone, HSN did).

I just checked my paypal and the charge shows as $35, so I think what happened in my case was there was a $55 charge, but it was actually a pre-authorization, and then they probably adjusted the price for the coupon after they shipped it. Also I checked my HSN account and the order still isn't associated with my account. I have already received the phones.
