Showing $189.99 with TT.
Installation service at Best Buy is $200 on its own - and you would likely need to purchase a different harness for the new vehicle. It's reasonably simple to remove the device, provided you're technically proficient and comfortable working underneath the steering column.

The real lift is installing the device on the new car without making your new vehicle a mess. If I were in your scenario, and I really wanted to have remote start this winter, I would just bite the bullet and buy two of these and the TT membership for $580. If you sell your current vehicle privately the remote start will be a nice selling point.
It's been a pain trying to get this installed with Best Buy. I purchased this a few months ago. My local shops were booked about a month out so it might not be a quick installation.
On my first appointment, I went to the local shop and they did not recommend installing a remote starter because it will void my car warranty. I thought this is BS, since both Compuster and Best Buy website states otherwise. I had a feeling either the installer didn't know how or it was too hard to install it on a newer 2022 vehicle. I cancel the appointment because I didn't trust the installer at this point.
My second appointment was at a different location. When I arrived, they did not have the T-harness required for the installation. They had to order it and shipped it to my house. Wish they would of been more prepared.
My third appointment is next weekend. So fingers crossed and hoping everything goes smooth this time around.

Damn that's a good price. Wish I had TT temporarily and would've hopped on this.

On the surface this appears to have mobile data capability while the other one had double the distance and a second remote

This one gives you the LTE module so you can use your phone. The other did not have that option

Got a older model of the 4900 for about 4 years now but I believe my best buy tech wired something wrong because my battery get drained fast over winter. Also, not sure what does the drone do? Worth the upgrade?

I installed two remote starters in the past. I wouldn't say it is easy. It's doable but there's lots of wiring and connections involved. I would just leave the remote starter in the car when you sell it and buy a new one. It's just as much work to remove it as it is to install it.
If you are going to install it yourself, you can pick it up on eBay and it's a lot cheaper. The selling point here is the free installation.

Can I use the remote starter to heat up the car/seats or and steering wheels? Or do i need to make sure the buttons are pressed before the next start?

secondly, do I need to restart my car when I get inside or does it takeover itself?
