Killing my wallet with these GW deals! I've spent $400+ in last hour across 5 deals! My wife is gonna KILL me! 🤣

Update: looks like I got this on 11/21/18 for $12.99 so need to cancel this order and save the $16! 🤣
Unfortunately they just jacked up all the prices for everything and made it look like a deal , but that's what Amazon always does

I dont understand why are they still making SAE? Every car I work on seems to be metric these days. Kills the deal for me.

Almost wish there was a law against that.

Can't comment on the tool itself, but the case is bad. I purchased this on prime day and it came with a broken case. I sent back the broken one, and got a new one. I tested the new case by flexing it a few times. It broke with very little effort. The hinges are poorly designed. Unless you plan on getting a different case. Don't buy this.

Is there an alternative you do recommend?

The small ratchet looks handy. But I don't need the bits and sockets.

It's easy to think that way as you no doubt have a bunch of plain 1/4" hex shank bits.

What you may not appreciate until you need it are the larger 5/16" hex shank bits including a T-45 and T-50. That T-45 torx bit saved my hide last summer when I needed to change a serpentine belt pulley on my van the night before a trip. Without this unusual bit, I would have had to pull the radiator to change the pulley. But this bit fit in the tight space where no other tool would on a flat 5/16" wrench. This set paid for itself 10 times over with this one bit in my estimation as I wouldn't have made my commitments on the trip without it.
