You'll get charged the full price + taxes when making the order with a trade-in online. When you go in-store to pick up the new phone and trade in your old phone, they'll refund you the difference and with that, your taxes will also be adjusted according to the final price.

Source: I traded in my Pixel 6 for a Pixel 7 a month ago at Best Buy.

Question: if we place an online order to pickup and trade-In at store, will the tax calculated based on *before* or *after* trade-In discount total? I know if we purchase and trade-in at store, the tax is based on after value. Thanks in advance for your answer!

In my experience, tax is on full amount if ordered online.
