You'll get charged the full price + taxes when making the order with a trade-in online. When you go in-store to pick up the new phone and trade in your old phone, they'll refund you the difference and with that, your taxes will also be adjusted according to the final price.

Source: I traded in my Pixel 6 for a Pixel 7 a month ago at Best Buy.

Please check again. These are the old trade-in values. They are now offering $460 for the iPhone XR.

I have placed online order chose iPhone XR as trade in device and Verizon as carrier. I have received the XR phone from Straighttalk. When I went to pickup my pixel 7 device at counter they checked the XR phone and told this can't be traded. BB doesn't accept this model no MH5G3LL/A and canceled my pixel order. Now I am stuck with the XR device which can't be returned back to Straighttalk🙁

Please let me know if you have any suggestions for my case. Thank You.

Update: Thank you all for the valuable suggestions. I tried 2 BB stores today, 1st store (14th st, NY) didn't allowed me to trade in without a Verizon account, they asked me the account details which I was not having. Then 2nd store (23rd st,Ny) first they checked Device and asked me to charge (47%) get back with battery more then 50%. I charged the phone for 15min in same store then went back to counter. Then the trade in process completed in 10, only thing he asked is this locked device. I said yes with Verizon. Finally got a Pixel 7 device. After trade in the XR I paid 52$. Thank you all again.

Picked up my Pixel 7 from Bestbuy this afternoon. The process was smooth. No issues. HOWEVER, back home, I am trying for the last hour to get the phone to work with my existing SIMs (RedPocket and TMobile). I cannot seem to connect though the phone shows the names of the networks. Tried rebooting, resetting network, powering on/off - nothing seems to work. Since I have seen no complaints here so far, could it be that I have a defective phone? Rest of the phone works - wifi radio works fine. It is just the phone modem that seems to be having issues. Not able to call and cannot use the data either.

Go to another BestBuy. Don't mention its a StraightTalk phone. I have traded that phone multiple times without issue.

Go to another store and don't mention st. I just picked up mine tonight and she didn't even ask. Just punched in the imei number and the license ... if they ask just say its Verizon

Yes they applied trade in gc to my purchase. Earlier thot the gc is for future purchases. There s lot of ambiguity on fi promotion though.

I had straight talk and took it out and left it in my pocket in case. But all the check is the condition of the phone. Imei numberN license

Current the carrier lock is showing as Sim locked, is it okay to go ahead for trade in with this status ?
