Roughly 12 hours ago I opened one of the qualifying accounts with the promo code. This morning I received an email confirming my eligibility of the the $150 promo and confirmation of the details previously listed.

You can continue opening this account, but the promo code cannot be used.
Reasons for ineligibility can be:
The promotion has expired
You are a Fidelity employee
You are associated with a financial institution
You have already used this promo code
It said you had to do one for the offer, but it did say "or more" on one screen... But you only get 1 $150 reward.
I think to get more you'd have to have multiple accounts in multiple names to get more, but unless you do savings in your kids' names or something like that, I don't think it will work.
Check to see if you can open more accounts at the same address if you do that.
Unfortunately, your account(s) are ineligible for linking to a bank
Try the other direction! Add the Fidelity account to the other account you want to get the money from and send it that way.
Later withdrawal by check if you want and have none you can link.
BTW, I'd recommend Discover Bank as a free & easy to use account that you can link.
If you want to look at them, they are discover.com - the same as Discover Card, and has no reoccurring fees of any kind, including no overdraft fees!

I thought, okay, maybe I can use this promo with the cash management account, well, looks like it's a 1 time use promo code (even though I technically couldn't use it) so I lost it when I opened the Roth IRA. Oh well, live and learn... at least i got the Roth IRA opened now...
