*Official* Android OS Phone Chat, Questions, & Help Thread -

14,178 1,195 October 22, 2009 at 06:05 PM in Chat
Yahoo!

Our very own thread to discuss and chat about the OS, ROM's, apps from Android Market, our Android phones, tips & tricks, questions, and help issues. With the different phones out now and to be released from various carriers, I figure we all have a lot in common with the Android OS. We can discuss what we like, need help with, what apps are cool or don't work well, as well as questions and help issues. Given that CSR's from the various carriers may know less than we do, this thread is for all of us so we can help one another.

Thanks I'll check those out. I just deleted WeatherBug because it get loading on my notification bar. So I googled and found thats what it was.

Some apps are still buggy on the Droid because of the 2.0 or something like that.

Wheres good sites to get the Apps, I've been enjoying scanning them, how lazy is that.nod

Has anyone else had problems with the battery cover? I just found a site that suggested putting a business card cut to fit under the battery and that seems to have helped mine.

No problems with the cover, just with the battery itself. Even after doing the fixes, there's no way I get a full day out of the phone without recharging. Frown

BTW, just found RDP for Android. Stick Out Tongue

Now I am very happy Big Grin Damn, $6.98. will have to check reviews first Frown

I have the verizon brand snap on gel cover, so no problems here. But I could see how it would keep sliding off if I didn't.

Mines actually pretty good on the battery. Not draining much at all..Dontknow

Now I probably should put all my contacts into the phone...too busy playing with apps. If I wasn't in such a hurry the other day I would have had them to do it Doh

I have that hard plastic case on it so no issues with that. I would suggest the case. Makes it a little bulkier but has saved my phone a few times this weekend.

Demon, what do you do on yours? I don't really have battery issues, but then again I dont talk on it a ton, mostly txt,and even listening to music and watching movies I get pretty good battery life. Stand by is really improved compared to my touch and g1,leave it on over night and doesnt use much battery life.

Log onto your google account and updating them there, much easier then typing them into phone.I switched from Tmobile- Verizon and lucked out with my contacts, used the same google account for the new phone and it loaded them all.

Then you should do what I do,keep an extra usb plug on your desk computer lol when Im here at the desk I plug it in,also bought a car charger at wally world for 15 bucks. So i plug it in whenever I can, prob reason I dont see alot of battery loss. Just hate the micro usb,not as common as the regular one.Used to charge my other phone on every charger from a razor-blackberry so I never had to carry a charger, someone always has a crackberry one you can borrow lol
