Why do some people refuse to accept that light weight is a valuable feature worth paying extra for? The LG Gram is an ultra-lightweight laptop that weighs 2.64 lb. The Lenovo you linked to is 4.60 lb. If you just leave your laptop at home all the time, by all means get the Lenovo. If you need a lightweight laptop for carrying on your commute or travel, the 2 lb lighter weight makes a HUGE difference.
These laptops come with 1 additional SSD slot. I purchased the 2tb Samsung 980 Pro to add on ($179 on amazon), which is in line with the included system specs.

I see some discussion around value for this laptop, so wanted to share my main reasons for choosing it:

The 14" I purchased is slightly over 2lbs, whereas a comparable 14" lenovo is slightly over 3lbs, approx. 50% increase in weight. The extra weight on your back won't make a huge difference if you travel occasionally, but I travel a LOT, and I'm carrying this and on-the-go for tens of hours every month, so any additional weight will eventually have long-term affects on my back/posture.
The flexibility for adding an additional SSD (which most lighter laptops don't have). This also saves me from having to carry around an external drive.
Awesome battery life, which is again a huge plus if you're constantly traveling and don't always have easy access to a power source.

In for 1, thanks OP! The 14Z90Q (non touchscreen) is actually $899 after coupon, not $999, which makes this even sweeter!

My mistake, just noticed that I accidentally purchased the i5 version (thankfully your message made me double check). I cancelled and repurchased the i7, which seems to be the best price available for now. Sigh.

Anyone know if "512GB dual SSD" means two 256GB M.2 modules? I thought this model had 512GB module + empty slot but maybe not...
