Newegg blackfriday ads link. This deal starts on Nov 21st.

This is a great case with good airflow if you are considering only 120mm, 240, and 360 fans.
The case top only has space for 240 AIO.

I have been using this case from the last BF and the case is working great.

It looks like BestBuy is also selling at the same price now to "my BestBuy members".

This or the Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact for $85?

Same question for me, too.

Yeah, that's the one thing that drives me nuts about these Corsair 4000/5000/7000 cases. I want a black case with a clear side instead of tinted, and while you can buy clear side panels from Corsair they still have a colored frame on the side panel, so the clear sides have white frames and the tinted have black frames.

The only other issue with the 4000D is radiator/AIO fitment. You can fit a 360mm rad + fans in the front, no issues. In the top you can put a pair of fans (120mm or 140mm), or a rad without fans (240mm or 280mm), but if you want a rad + fans in the top (and an AIO), you can't go bigger than 240mm AND you'll have to have low profile RAM like Corsair LPX. Otherwise it won't fit. Because of that I ended up upgrading to a 5000D so I could water cool both CPU and GPU, and the 5000D is freaking huge by comparison (which I don't like). But there's room for a 360mm AIO both top and front, so...tradeoffs.
So 5000 series mitigated that AND you can use the 3.5 bays? Any issues fitting the new 4080 card? Man, starting a build now a days after years of being out of the game is rough.

I'm still rocking a Coolermaster HAF 932 that I plan on reusing for a new i5-13600k/RTX4080 build. Is there any reason to get a newer case like this? I don't need USB-C front panel and am not using AIO coolers. Don't care about RBG either.
no reason. unless you have too much cash on hand

Similar boat, I just moved my PC into one of these 4000 series cases (4000x) coming from a HAF 922. Objectively I took a step back in terms of airflow (less of an issue with this case being the airflow version, but still) and drive capacity. But to be totally honest I was tired of the overly large gamer aesthetic of the CM case and don't use optical drives any longer, so those 5.25 bays were wasted space. So no honestly it'd just be about looks and maaaybe supporting newer liquid cooling setups.

Yeah, a 5000D will fit a 360mm rad + fans in the front and top simultaneously. It also has a side mount for another 360mm worth of cooling (though I do not believe that there is room for a rad + fans in the front and rad + fans in the side at the same time. Like I said, it's huge. There should be no problems with a 4080 or 4090 in it whatsoever.

I ended up getting the Fractal Meshify 2 Compact RGB and just built it yesterday. In this new case, using a Ryzen 5900X with Noctua NH-U12, it sits in between 41°C to 69°C, depending on what I'm doing.
