This is just a controller. Maybe the games you were playing weren't fun? Or maybe your family just doesn't like driving sims? I use this thing for the forza series, american truck simulator, the dirt series, the assetto series, etc... I find it to be very fun.

It's definitely a starter wheel and at the bottom of force feedback wheels currently. Great thing about it that it's a workhorse and very much indestructible.

I had it for years until I tried some better wheels at which point I've moved on. That's not to say that you can't sim race with it, plenty people do but it's probably best suited to play arcade games like Forza, Gran Turismo, etc.

It's also a great way to get into the hobby and slowly upgrade over time starting with pedals.

Was going to do Target using RED card for the same price but ended up getting an email from Logitech with a $30 off $150 or more order or $50 off a $250 order so I went a head and ordered straight from Logitech. $180 w/ tax shipped to Michigan.

added: the coupon code said min. of 2 items in cart but it went thru with just the 1 wheel kit for me.

im aware. they bored of it quickly. used a regular controller. to each his own...

That's weird. I find playing forza horizon 4/5 with my xbox one controller kinda annoying. I was thinking about trying one of these out to see if I find it more enjoyable. The controller just offers such a small amount of analog range! Holding the throttle at like 10% is agonizing lol.

So true...nobody ever thinks about pedals until they actually start something like iRacing. Direct drive wheel and load cell pedals is a night and day difference from something like this.

Very true. iRacing is a slippery slope, once you start you can never go back to racing online in other games unless you find good ACC. F1 leagues. It's as close as you can get to actual race track etiquette and matchmaking is on another level. It does get expensive very fast but still a fraction of the cost of simple track day.

I used to look forward to Forza, GT, etc. games. Not so much anymore.

I just did a lot of research on this last week before buying this. DD wheelbase I would get the Simucube 2 Pro and pedals I would get the Heusinkveld Sprints. I'll go all out on those after a year or two, but I'm starting with G29 for now.
