Missed the SKX50 from Amazon at $199. I got this instead and used the 25 off 250 B&H Amex offers. I've been debating Wifi 6 or 6e but don't think 6e won't benefit me that much, also 6e systems equivalent to this cost too much.

Pros:
4x4 on 5Ghz -1
4x4 on 5Ghz -2
4x4 on 2.4Ghz
Multigig port

Cons:
No 160Mhz channel
2nd 5Ghz band not cleared for clients when using wired backhaul.

is this product line discontinued? I am assuming this is the same as the RBK853 consumer version? If not anyone know the difference?

NB: They have the 4 pack for $489

Is this still a good router? I'm on a TP Link M9 plus now. We have 300mbps fiber, maybe upgrading to 1gig at some point

4x4 transmit-receive radio in all three bands. Unless you live in a dense apartment building then 4x4 wifi 6 is probably better than 2x2 6e. This is a $100 less than previous low. This is a good option. I expect this to go front page.

Not the same as the RBK packages. The satellites are not cross compatible either. This is the Pro Series that has support for features the consumer ones don't like captive portal guest network.

Really love our AC3000 RBK50 set from almost 5 years ago, but it's starting to show its age. Would like to stick with the Netgear Orbi ecosystem, so this looks very appealing, but would really like to get into 6E for future proofing. No intent on dropping $800-1,000+ for the Netgear equivalent for that though, when competition is starting to crop up in the $350-450 range.

Thoughts on how this compares to the RBK50 set?

I can't believe it's this cheap, especially for the 4 pack, which is backordered.
I've got the consumer 750 version which has very easy setup and incredible range I actually only use 1 of the 3 satellites from my kit.
This is suuuuupper tempting because I've been planning to segment my network (using a switch and other access points) to create "VLANs". If i get this, it would be sooo much simpler than what I'll currently need to do.... 🤔

I have both the RBK50, and upgraded to the RBK750 last year. That's your better path unless you want to create separate VLANs or segments. (I just posted about my temptation to jump on this deal.)

Considering this and RBK753, would the orbi pro be beneficial for a regular home consumer?

That MSRP is laughable, they really think people are stupid.

Good router if you like netgear attempts
To make you pay extra for basic adding functions

Explain what you mean by "basic adding functions"?

What's a better deal? Amazon's Skx50 for $200 or this for Skx80 for $245?

Use case, 2 story house in relatively sense urban area, lots of smart home tech.
