Firmware updates - OTA is flaky, it does not find any updates, use the XDA forum:

Look for files for T615T02 TV (this is R646), save to a FAT32 USB drive, plug in to the lower USB port. Check for local updates.
An external mouse works if plugged into the lower port.
The wired port is rated 100 Mb/s, the WiFi is faster.

I've got a Hisense U7H I love otherwise though, so if it continues, I'll just plug my Roku into one of the HDMI ports and use that instead

If you want far more granularity and the ability to "dial in" your set then the Android UI is the way to go.
Personally I really get into the dialing it in bit. Most people and especially old ppl should probably stay with ROKU.
All that being said this TV has a better picture than nearly any other non OLED set out there. The other LEDs that have comparable or better pictures are far more expensive.
Buy this TV and throw a roku ultra on it and you're still getting a heck of a deal.
