The U28R55 28" 16:9 4K HDR FreeSync IPS Monitor from Samsung is built for users who care about details. Featuring a 3840 x 2160 4K resolution, this IPS (In-Plane Switching) display also supports 1.07 billion colors and HDR10 content playback for enhanced colors and contrast. Should you want to game on it, the U28R55 has a 60 Hz refresh rate, 4 ms response time, and is compatible with AMD Radeon FreeSync technology for stutter- and blur-free gaming. Connectivity options include HDMI and DisplayPort and the mount can be tilted to your viewing preference.
Not a bad deal for 4K IPS, but I'm spoiled with 144hz refresh and don't want to go back to 60hz (for 2k anyways). 300nit brightness also isn't that bad, but imho, any monitor worth using for higher res stuff really should be 400 nit minimum.
As always, it depends, so Dell for me. I want to upgrade to 27 while having option to charge laptop from USB-C without dock station (and extra wires) and/or daisy chain with my other similar 24 monitor. Slowly streamlining my life and I don't game on this machine. I stare at big-arse spreadsheets all day and recently sometimes at home - eliminating clutter for this open desk location.
I got the Phillips 27 inch 4k sitting the lockdown. It might be a bit too small, bit i still like it as my primary work screen. I hate the fact that it doesn't have a Vesa mount. So compared to that, I'd say this is a good deal
Almost got this one till I saw a review that said if your vesa mount also includes 100x100 mount points then it likely wont mount properly.
I've always gotten dell monitors but 5 of 5 so far have had backlight bleed problems that came after teh warranty period is over. No more dell screens for me...
