That's correct. I've been looking for this lately but ended up going with the Pro version which is basically this with continuous recording since eufy motion detection is hit or miss. The refurbished pro version is going for $69 in another post here

This is a great deal for a video doorbell that can store recordings without needing an ongoing subscription.

The "Pro" wired version sold at Best Buy has 32GB internal storage and supports continuous recording.
The standard wired version only has 4GB internal storage and does not support continuous recording.

Both of the wired models have a 3 second pre-buffer feature. The battery version does not have this feature.

The battery version can ring a existing hardwired chime. The wired versions cannot.

I have this very same video doorbell, its ok but it does miss detection sometimes. I love Eufy products but their detection algorithm is pretty bad. I get false triggers all the time. My furnace and ventilation exhaust triggers my Floodlight Pro all night long, so I eventually turned it off. I'm pretty disappointed and I doubt it's a software issue they can fix anytime soon.

I'll eventually invest in a true 24/7, always on and recording surveillance system.

Lol...just donated a video of fallen leaves flying around that generated a false positive of human detection. And no, that wasn't the only time, just couldn't resist it 😅

These doorbells are gimmicks. Just grab a blink camera and place at a good angle, facing your front door, then have another facing toward street. You can even find devices that can detect when your old doorbell chime is pressed. If you don't like blink/amazon there are other options as well, especially nvr.
