I got a targeted message from Capital One Shopping for 18% rewards at OfficeDesigns. I ordered the chair on Friday and got my rewards confirmation today for the 18% in rewards. I dont know how they have such high rewards rates (I got 30% rewards for Sonos and bought two premium home theater sets and got $491 back on each).
Other sites that I got targeted rewards from COS : banana republic, j crew, Walmart, Champion - and these are all high double digit (15-30%).
Everything on these chairs is replaceable. They are all over FB Market Place for $200. I got mine for $180 and had to replace the strut after about 6 months which was $30.
I had one of these chairs for work, I dont get the overpriced hype it was mediocre in terms of support and durability, for this price top grain leather should be an option
just mine Aeron on Tuesday. So far I'm not impressed I actually feel like its to small, I'm 5'10" and their chart said B but I feel like C would have been better. I am awaiting the embody still, will test both and return one but right now I feel like Aeron going back. Also lumbar not height adjustable, I feel like cheaper chairs offer this, at this price Aeron should have every feature imaginable.
Have you tried Steelcase Leap or Amia? I like both of them better than all of the HM chairs.
No leap was tempting but got aeron and embody to test both out. Embody seat and back is amazing but arm rest could be better.
Highly recommend trying the Leap v2 and Amia if there is a showroom or local company that sells SC chairs nearby. HM look flashier and more chic, but that doesn't necessarily translate to a more comfortable chair. But again, it's all personal preference and you may end up prefering the HM chairs. I know I and a lot of others don't. You just never know until you sit in them.

Ya wish they had nice system like hm send you chair and return what you don't like. I was trying to avoid foam seat which is what tipped scale to aeron and embody.
I ordered the Embody chair in November when the estimated delivery was mid December. Then they changed it to end of December, then to January without any notice.
Now it's changed to June. Yes, they need 7 months to ship the chair. Probably they are just starting to build the factory where they are going to produce the chair.
On the other hand, the product page shows estimated delivery in 6 weeks if you order now. WTH?

I had a chair from OfficeMax that literally lasted me about 6 to 7 years before it became uncomfortable. It was $200.
Not to mention that these chairs that are $1,000 or more half the time aren't even made in a first world country.
These are literally highway robbery. There are not $1,000 worth of materials or labor in any of these.
