I'd prefer a non-touch matte screen, but they seem rare as hens teeth these days

I could probably flip it in a few months if I'm not happy
Wanted a thin & light machine. The slim 7i hit all the checkboxes for me. Not sure how the battery life would compare. I've always felt Asus laptops have been cheap, especially the trackpad

I'd rather prefer this, https://www.costco.com/.product.164974
I do a decent amount of stock day trading, admittedly have as many as, idk, 40-50 google chrome tabs open at a time, and frequently use my laptop as a Plex server. But outside of that I wouldn't say I do anything super intensive. Is more than 16GB important for someone like me?

This is a neat laptop with a beautiful OLED screen. Pity it's stuck with integrated Xe graphics. You won't be doing any heavy gaming on this thing. But for everything else should be great.
