Pixel 7 Pro $800 Off w. Trade-In and Free Pixel Watch (36mo Device Plan)

Appears this may be targeted (Unlimited plan) but check your account to make sure. I was able to trade a Google Pixel 5 in for $800 credit (over 36mo device plan) and include a watch of choice up to $399.99 in value (includes Galaxy Watch 4, Watch5, Google Pixel Watch, Oribic Smart Wrist).

I know people will slam device payment plans but I've been a Verizon customer for 20+ yrs, so this is a no-brainer. More knowledgeable folks here may also be able to advise whether early payoffs are options.

Total price in cart for Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel Watch should be $131.78, inclusive of the $35 activation ("upgrade fee") and the sales tax on the phone (~$96.78). Remaining balance on Pixel 7 Pro is around $2.75/mo for the 36mo period.

tempting - i was going to switch to google fi but this deal gives me the phone for $100 vs google fi the same phone is $600 so thats $500 savings on hardware. guess google fi is cheaper service but they don't tell you the real price after taxes and fees so hard to compare. Right now i have verizon discounted service so i'm afraid to touch anything about my plan. Main thing i like about verizon is i don't get spam.
I went for a deal on the Google Pixel 5a, on Google Fi. Service was similar to Verizon and AT&T, but I was paying $65+ per month for just that one line. Phone was $250 + tax on my credit card, after "rebate." Bailed at the end of 3 month trial & went back to Verizon for less than half that monthly expense.

If you're evaluating a hardware deal on service cost then sure. That's not an option for some (I've had terrible issues with those 2nd-rate providers and can't go that route)
go for t-mobile, not a 2nd provider and you still inside 2.5k

No one here seems to mind about how much issues this and other pixel phones have. The minute I hear of all the issues a phone have, I stop looking for deals on it. Maybe people don't mind it if they get it for a lesser price...like somehow, they phone all of a sudden is better when they can get it cheaper even though it's the same phone with all the same issues.
ppl like pixel over other phones because it is native android..I do pay price for that and yes pixel lately (from 6) is really bad..

Much cheaper to buy it unlocked and buy a year of redpocket, mint mobile or your other favorite MVNO for 3 years.

These aren't real numbers, just ballparking them. So, buy unlocked pixel for ~$800, 1 yr unlimited with mint $360 (X3 for 3 years is ~$1200) total is around $2k.

Now, ONLY 3 years for Verizon unlimited is over $3k. I'll stop there.
The unlimited plan mandate is what kills it for me. Plus if traveling internationally, the device needs to be paid off to use a foreign SIM. That's so 2000!

Anyone considered LTE Cell Booster that plugs via Ethernet into your local network? Works great for my situation. Got coverage for a 20,000 square feet two story building with a single unit.

What's good about this deal?
  • VZW requires you to "upgrade" to a significantly more expensive plan.
  • VZW is locking your credits to 36 months; which you lose if you leave or anything happens to the phone.
  • VZW requires your Pixel 5.... Google accepts the P5 as a trade-in for $400 credit, and the P5 is currently selling for $300+ privately.

So if I "upgrade" I'm only offered $400 for my phone trade in. However if I add a line and select to trade in my old device, I get the $800. So to give up my old number, I am saving an extra $400. Does that sound stupid? Why not just give me the $800 since my line is eligible anyways?

Keep in mind you cannot upgrade or switch phones for three years, otherwise you will owe the remainder of the monthly credits immediately. This includes if the phone is damaged and needs to be replaced. Being locked into 36 months isn't worth it especially with the specials being offered directly from Google.
You are still able to switch your sim card to another phone, for example if you bought a phone from the Google Store (3rd party). You WON'T be able to "upgrade from Verizon" for another 3 years.

You actually can switch phones from anyone besides Verizon. My wife recently traded in her galaxy for a Pixel 7 (via google store) and Verizon is still paying off the galaxy. I went into the Verizon store to confirm that this would happen and they said that it would work as I just said.

I didn't get a watch but Verizon is paying me about $7.50 per month because I traded my Pixel 5 in for a Pixel 7 Pro! I got 50% off & $700 trade in offer (36 months)
