P6 is not a phone I enjoyed - dim screen, awkward volume/power buttons location, and mediocre battery life. None of these seem to change with P7.
Would the "(Verizon) Google - Pixel 6 - 128GB - Stormy Black - GA02300-US (Renewed)" work?

I upgraded from the 3a XL to the 6 after the most recent OS version just destroyed the 3a (slowness, short battery) but the 6 has given me a handful of problems with the benefit being the faster speeds again.
It sounds like the battery, screen and cameras are minimal changes if any, and the big change is with the chip inside.. I don't know how noticeable that is in day to day usage though?
I'd happily swap it out to have the new model if it meant just dropping the $60, but having to pay the full amount up front, mail the 6 in and hope it gets approved/validated in the condition I sent it in, just seems like a hassle.
Maybe it makes more sense if you have a promo code like some people here?
Or probably trade in values deals in general should mention whichever states the tax is not applicable
Just think of it as a mail-in rebate, but with a physical device as the rebate, which I'm guessing is pre-applied?
Read further in the terms and conditions and it looks like it's for US based customers/addresses.
Sucks cause someone here sent me a code but doesn't work.

--- Edited.
Google still has live support who resolved my issue. Thumbs up.

Pixel 7 @ $599 + NY Taxes @ $51.66 - $400 upon return of my immaculate Pixel 5 is approximately $250. Not too shabby!
But how does trading in a Pixel 6 to get a Pixel 7 for just the cost of tax make any sense? They have access to your data already with the Pixel 6.
My guess is a bigger thing for google imho to say "we sold xxxx units of the new pixel 7 devices" a couple points added to their stock price on a mention they sold more phones with this generation than ever before is worth taking a dive on a lot of these devices. Plus with weird accounting of trade ins I'm sure they have done the math.
