No...just...no. The key factor to NON blurry fast action games is the response time. IPS panels are commonly found in 4ms - 8ms range. Yes. Blurry. VA panels ate easy to find with 1 ms response times. Newer ones go as fast as 0.5.

What can make a VA monitor blurry if it has a fast response time? Turning on all graphic settings. Some games actually introduce motion blur into the game as a feature.

At 8 ms I actually can see the ghosting of the mouse as I move it on screen.

VA screens provide better blacks than IPS. Viewing angles are not as wide as IPS and the color gamut is not as good.

IPS monitors will display colors more faithfully.

To pick what is right for you, you need to look at all the specs and make a decision based on the type of gaming or computer use.

VA panel - avoid if you like to play fast paced games due to blurry motion.
You got that backwards brah… IPS is what you were thinking. The point of VA is response time 😉

I played 140+ hours of Elden Ring, which is certainly fast paced during combat, on this monitor and it was fine. Maybe if you're into competitive shooters you'll want an e-sports monitor or something, but for most gaming uses, this monitor is fine.
Elden Ring is in no way a fast paced game, when it comes to response times… it matters in FPSs and marginally in some racing games.

I own this monitor and love it. Works great on dark games like Hunt Showdown.

At this big a size, isn't it the case you'd want a 4K image or you'd see the pixels with this 1440p?

The G34(Monitor in this thread) is VA and Curved..
The M34 is IPS and Flat w/ KVM.

The M34 I believe is currently rtings budget pick for best IPS ultrawide.

Both are fantastic monitors, just all depends on what your preferences are. I personally play in a dark room a lot and mostly use my monitor for media consumption. In that aspect the G34 would be better. For someone looking for a WFH setup the M34 has KVM so that is a feature that is worth it.

No problemo.

Honestly, both monitors are great and are about as good as you'll get in this price range. I personally have the one in this thread and love it. Before that I tried out the M34 but returned it as I already have an IPS monitor.

There is a lot of criticism on VA due to response time/color accuracy, which is true, but it also has much better contrast than the IPS panel, which for some people matters too. I actually enjoy seeing variations in darks when I'm watching movies/gaming at night.

I see, thanks. What are you thoughts about the popular m32u vs these two Gigabyte monitors?

I missed out on so many great monitor deals this BF because I don't know what to look for based on my needs. I honestly think the Neo g7, OLED refurbished AW3423DW, Dell 3223Q were the best deals for me.

Now I'm looking at Gigabyte monitors or will wait it out.

In terms of PPI, this monitor is equivalent to a 27" 1440p monitor. It's an ultrawide, so it has a horizontal pixel count of 3440, not 2560.
