If you want to get a noise violation, this is your ticket. Thumps.

I bought this last year for the same price. It's 100% worth it. It is incredibly loud. No water resistance rating, so use caution if you plan to use it at the beach or on a boat. It can "link" with a 2nd party box for stereo. Had mic inputs and you can adjust the mic/music volume independently.

I have two of these, two 300s, and two 1000s. Get the 100s on this deal, excellent speakers.

The JBL has much better bass and you can pair this speaker with another unit. However, there is input lag when both speakers paired together. However, there isnt when in solo mode.

Got 1 last time it was on sale, loved it so much i bought a 2nd at full price. The bass is absolutely insane without sounding like trash. There's no better performing wireless speaker of this size at this price.

While the JBL probably rocks and the extra pairing to another is a plus, I bought the ONN Large Party speaker - refurbished for $89 and added the Wally extended coverage. I'm blown away by that being a Bluetooth speaker. It cranks. Never sounds distorted. Has many a radio and Aux corded plug in as well. Lights are a novelty and run. Also includes a mic plug in which I haven't used. All in for $100 I would buy it again once it goes.

Same…. I heard the ion at a family reunion and it sounded great. I have jbl home theatre and it's great too. Definitely would like some input before pulling the trigger

I can say that the jbl has wayyy more bass. I do own the ION 280 which was $95 at costco awhile back. They have a newer ION now so I can't comment on it. I would have loved the jbl 100 but at the time didn't want to spend that much. But if you don't care about having lots of bass I'd say the ION is still great, and half the price.
