I think one needs to be a total idiot to think that anything on the internet is private. Just about every single big organization has had data leaks and hacks . . . do people not learn anything at all.
The rule is very simple, if you value privacy simply do not invite camera or microphone in that location. If you are are going to invite that and expect security and privacy, the joke is on you.
I use different brands of cameras all around the house, cost is great and I get notifications promptly. But if one want's to watch me mow my grass or watch my packages delivered I would not care, because the moment I installed the cameras is the moment I gave up the privacy right to that area.
As for the camera on the vacuum, the brand is totally irrelevant to me. If the technology requires a a video and a connection to the internet . . . I will mitigate that 2 ways:
Not use it
Use it at night when I am not in that area with a kill switch to vac/router
No way I'm using anything form Eufy after the latest news on Eufy/Anker's awful privacy practices. And I believe these Eufy Robo vacs have a camera on them as well.
This guy Paul Moore figured it out. All credit to him.
If I'm and idiot, then I'm not sure what you are! . . . .
lol, i agree with you.
but seriously, this is a moot point. go hang your cameras in you bathroom and bedroom. i will have fun watching the videos and reading you mad rants post stating how the ads did not match the truth.if you Duck and Cover you will be safe[youtube.com]
Thanks for the link. Yes, it is the LR30 Hybrid but without the mopping feature.
And the Dust collector is 600 ml vs 330 ml for the Hybrid.
All other features are the same, so it should be just as good for vacuuming.
I've placed the order, will update if I find any issues.
The vacuum is pretty good, I am not a professional reviewer, but it has been doing a good job of navigating the home has great suction and the storage bin is bit enough to not require frequent replacing.
I am quite happy with the purchase. Though, even though the price dropped after Black Friday Walmart doesn't offer to do a price match, so i am out $11, but otherwise all good.
1. If put it on pause in the middle of a cleaning, then go to resume maybe 15 minutes or so later, it loses the route it was on and wants to start all over.
2. It still bumps into a lot of things. It's supposed to have lidar so I thought it should avoid a majority of this.
Anyone else have the same problems? I bought a Wyze at the same time as a comparison, and that one avoids obstacles much better. But the Wyze is louder so I'd prefer to keep the Eufy if these issues can be resolved.

Just don't pause it for that long. Mine does bump into more things then I would like but only to oddly objects I guess

Might be a deal-breaker for me. I can foresee a number of instances where I'd want to pause for more than 10-15 minutes to focus on something, then want it to resume it's route after.
Eufy's customer service was useless on both issues:
"due to its original mapping logic, it is not suggested to pause the device too long during the cleaning process as it will start a new cleaning cycle. Sorry for any inconvenience caused."
"about the bumping issue, we will try our best to make it better in the future."
The Wyze is better with both those issues (can resume it's route hours later, and avoids things better) but it's a bit louder. Not sure which I'll choose yet.

But wyze one has only one cleaning brush head and, less suction power and I heard their app isn't that great?

Does this vacuum have a camera?
I'm reading different accounts on this thread.
I might just go with the G32 then instead. Although if this doesn't have a camera then this L30 would be my choice for the features vs price.

I have this LR20 and it doesn't appear to have a camera. It uses LiDAR to move/scan around.
Yeah, I read about the technology and LIDAR doesn't have any camera. I'm not sure why people are overly scared of Eufy vacuums.
I used the C25, G32 and then this. This ones totally worth it for the price. Better suction, ability to 'draw' no go zones was the winner for me
