That is pretty cheap. I purchased a laptop tray for $12 by itself. Might just get this as a spare monitor arm.

Weight up to 22lbs is not that much not to mention up to 13-27 inch monitor.

For laptop, probably 5-7lbs already which leave 15 lbs for monitor. And you probably can't type on laptop since it will generate a LOT of extra weight if you put the weight of your arms on it. Which pretty much leave no weight for the monitor until you use a small and light weight monitor and don't try to put any extra weight on the laptop like don't type on it.

This type of mount is not for you. No reason to try to type on these trays. You're supposed to have a wireless keyboard. The weight is fine.
