I searched Cyperpower, so hope it's not a repost.
It's $165 on Amazon.

https://computers.woot.com/offers...clcd-ups-2

A mini-tower UPS with line interactive topology, the CyberPower PFC Sinewave CP1000PFCLCD provides battery backup (using sine wave output) and surge protection for desktop computers, workstations, networking devices, and home entertainment systems requiring active PFC power source compatibility.

The CP1000PFCLCD features an advanced multifunction control panel with a color LCD to quickly confirm status and alerts at-a-glance. The screen tilts for easy viewing when the UPS is placed in a low position such as under a desk. Two USB charge ports (one Type-A and one Type-C) power portable devices such as mobile phones and tablets, even during a utility power failure.

The CP1000PFCLCD uses Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to correct minor power fluctuations without switching to battery power, which extends battery life. AVR is essential in areas where power fluctuations occur frequently. The CP1000PFCLCD comes with a three-year warranty (including coverage of batteries) and a $350,000 Connected Equipment Guarantee.

i just had a near 3 year old cyberpower 1500 sinewave ups fry itself the other day. a couple of days before that it started clicking every so often and the front lcd lit up, so that was a warning sign. The other ups were not clicking so there werent any power dips. i was very lucky as i had just arrived home and then it started crackling, popped, and some smoke came out the top vents. I grabbed it and ran outside with it. since it was barely still within the 3 year warranty its getting rma for exchange.

going price on other sites is $165, so saving about $35

note that this takes one 12v battery. the battery is about $20. so $20 of that $130 is the cost of the battery -- edit credit to PureDreams

batteries last up to 3-5 years, depending upon your power dips/outages.
You can get this on eBay direct from Cyberpower for $113.99 with free shipping - https://www.ebay.com/itm/31420398...7027058332

note that this takes 2 x 12v batteries. each replacement battery is about $20. so $40 of that $130 is the cost of the batteries.

batteries last up to 5-6 years, depending upon your power dips/outages.

You should report that.

As I said, it runs fine. We have power outages a few times a year.
I doubt it will run fine for much longer with such an old battery. If it were me then I would put a new battery in it especially after 5 years and if what it is powering is important to stay on... but of course, you do whatever you want.

Yes. Save 1 cent on adhesive, and who cares that it may kill people. That's what the legal department is for.

The sad part is that the APC are also cheap bastards. Their sine wave equivalent model had widespread issue with cheap defective MOSFETs causing fire as well.

These UPS companies have turned into penny-hoarding sociopaths.
So, Pick your poison.

I got the APC version during black friday sale for $200 for my home server and haven't tried it yet. Might return it. I'd rather lose data than risk burning my house or myself.

There's no point replacing batteries in these things when the led's, caps, solder, and glue are old. They aren't enterprise grade, you replace the unit. But of course, you do whatever you want and burn your house down.

I've seen things blow from tin whiskering and capacitor plague. Have had screeching and squeeling hot mosfets. Not shocked aged glue is also a thing, but I haven't seen that one yet.

Is this overkill for a home theatre/TV/receiver/DVR?

Thanks. How many houses have these things burned down?

And fortunately I have homeowner's insurance.

Which app is that? I have the GX1325U that I got back in 2018 and I'd love to run a check on it
It's a Windows app, not for your phone. You will need to have the UPS connected via a cable. On my model, it uses a Type-B square looking USB cable.

You can skip any of the cloud-related stuff and just use the app for local monitoring.

after reading these horror stories, i might still unplug it before i leave for my trip lol
I think it would be prudent to power off everything at home if you're not going to be there, and if you are OK with possible temperature extremes for your area in your home.

Personally, I'd eat up anything perishable that couldn't last the length of your trip, turn off the UPS, then turn off all circuit breakers except the one maintaining your fridge/freezer and security/monitoring systems.

I have a 1250V bought about a year ago at Costco for about $110.
No problems so far, kept my Ryzen 7 3800X sys. running for about
1 hour during outage last July.
