Like i said on Black Friday...beyond the actual $5 or so savings here these aren't actually "sales". This is a more permanent market correction on product that was poorly received and not doing well in comparative sales after Intel pushed out their 13 gen stuff. Which is basically burying the new AMD lately in influential review recommendations and comparative build value.

Let the game keep playing itself out, wait a month for Intel to release their budget minded 13 chips. and as we've seen in the past there is realistically an overwhelming likelihood you will rewarded with some actual noteworthy sales on all these 7 series AMD CPU popping up in response.
I mean if you choose to or have an invested interest in ignoring all the actual details there going into that recommendation...I guess you could make a purposely dirty summary there of that being said.

But again and more specifically I'm basically telling you that for fairly predictable reasons it's almost an absolute market certainty that next month is going to be a much more ideal time then it is right now for the bargain shopper to be shopping for AMD CPU builds.

Newegg. Pass.
If not Newegg, where do I get my build? I have only had good experience with Newegg, albeit on a handful of purchases. (Are you sure your experience is with actual Newegg and not third-party sellers?)

You lucked out then, I've bought PC components from them and had to return the parts. They only gave me partial refund and they charge a restocking fee. I vowed to never buy from them again. If you have a Microcenter near you, I'd recommend that and like another poster said Amazon, for their easy return policy.

When the 5600 is $114 and an entire AM4/B550/DDR4 platform is so cheap it's hard to recommend these AM5 chips for bargain hunters (I mean that's why we're here right?).

If someone wants to upgrade later, investing in a AM5 board and DDR5 now could be reasonable. But probably it's not worth it, so yeah you're right.
