You like the Twinkly smart lights for Christmas trees, but
$150 with a deal for the 400 LED variant is too expensive?
Then this 520 LED Koopower offer could give you or your kids pretty much the same smart Christmas tree lights to play with, for 1/3rd of the price.
With the
70% off code "KOOUS" that's shown in the banner on top of the store, the price is
$48.90 for the RGB LEDs, a Christmas star topper the controller and the power supply or $60 for the same set with the 5'11" tall tree. Shipping is free.
The next best price for the Koopower set is $119.99 on Amazon.
This is not just a simple LED light string, but a smart, App controlled (via Bluetooth) LED display which you can install on your Christmas tree.
Each of the LEDs is individually addressable. This means the color of each RGB LED can be controlled. This way you can show simple graphics or play animations on your tree. Or just set it to a single color when a somewhat calmer atmosphere is appropriate.
I guess the pictures or YouTube reviews explain it best.

1. It looks like they are vertical strings, so you really have to have them on a very particular way for it to look good, likely on outer edge of the tree. all the product photos look very grid-like. probably works best on uniform fake tree
2. These products are only as good as their apps :/ so tbd on longevity of support.

The App is probably ok for most common users, but I only know it from watching this YouTube [youtube.com] video so far.
I see what you did there lol.

A bit torn. I have a (fake) tree that's about the right size that this would work for (that is already decorated for this year). Can't really use it outside. Whatever else I did use it would have to be circular/radial.
Company seems decent, with lots of other products and good, non-fake reviews.
Aaah, in for one.
AirTags came along and made that company (TILE) kinda obsolete or less relevant. I guess twinkly is heading that way, this thing though not refined and limited in scope (can't do 3d scan) is a start.
