I have this and it works very well. I am using a wired backhaul but it ran well wirelessly.

In terms of range, is this better than x20?

If I have slightly faster than gig speed (1200 mb/s), i wouldnt benefit from the SXK80's faster theoretical speeds would I? Im thinking of returning that and getting this to save a few bucks.

Not sure about this Deco but any Orbi is an upgrade from Google Nest hockey pucks.

Installed a 1st gen Deco a few years ago in a 2 story, and it was poor.
I ended up replacing it with an Orbi, as one of their ring cameras would drop out with the Deco.

I have replaced quite a few of them, and for someone with 1g fiber AND 2 stories, this would be my first recommendation. Like an RBK50 2 piece system, depending on what your walls are made of.

My fiber went from avg 500mbps to 900mbps with just the swap in of the RBK50.

I even had one person tell me that their Netflix streaming PQ improved with the Orbi.

BF sale still valid on amaz B01K4CZOBS

Half the cost of what I originally paid.
Ordered another one for my sister for xmas.

good luck.
I was looking for a Mesh Wifi for my house. I have a 1G cable, but the modem was old and cap at 800 Mbps. I want WIFI 6 with Tri-band (I don't want to connect wirelessly the router/satellite on dual band) but almost everything must be over $200.
I'm surprise when you say you can get 900 Mbps with the Wifi 5 Tri Band with the RBK50

using the X75 Pro here.. purchased when my ISP upgraded me to "2gbit" for free.

Maybe someday they'll fix the line quality in the area so I can actually see that speed.
That is the problem with all these "gigabit+" routers. They never provide a 2.5gig or higher out port. The orbi system that actually has one is $1400!

that's why I went with the X75 Pro.. they have a 2.5GbE port.

But that is just in, there is no 2.5gig out port.

the port is LAN+WAN. I have one unit connected to my multigig router, and the second unit goes into a 2.5GbE switch in my server rack.

the units use the WiFi 6E channel as backhaul between each other.

But most people aren't going to have that type of setup, at least I don't think they do. I have a 2.5 gig modem so I would have to go into the 2.5gig port and then I wouldn't have a 2.5gig out.

My setup is that my modem is in the basement and my rack is upstairs. I'm renting so I can't run wiring across/through the house.

then you just need a multigig switch.
It won't work that way. It is just a modem so you have to have a router before you can have a switch. At least that is what my research turned up.

as long as your modem isn't handling DHCP, then it shouldn't matter where your router is.

I tried a couple of switches with it and none of them worked, so I guess that is the case.

I have att 1 gig fiber using Google Nest Wifi routers with 1 wired access point in mesh config. My house is two stories, around 3000 sq ft. Is this worth an upgrade?
Wonder if you don't have any issue like I have to restart every other day. Otherwise, wifi speed in my Galaxy S22 got 6Mbps whereas normally got 500+Mbps.
