I have 3 of these and have been very happy with them, but there are a few things worth mentioning

The thermal tolerances on these is pretty poor IMO. Don't plan to use it in any non-conditioned space, putting it in a garage in any temperature above 85F and it will start with random reboots and eventually fail.
There is no cross compatibility with anything else in the AmpliFi line or in the Ubiquiti line. These Aliens only mesh with other Aliens. There is also something called a "mesh kit" that I would avoid, it includes another Alien without an LCD that is firmware locked to only be a mesh node.
I had one issue with one and customer service was super solid, so happy there.
If you are technically minded and want to do advanced stuff, I would really recommend you take a peek at Ubiquti devices. This is a great consumer grade router, but it isn't much more than that.
The same statement above is true for Smart Home folks, Ubiquiti has a solid smart home line but again those devices wont work with the Alien.
The range on these is solid, but its not massive leaps and bounds above other stuff on the market. In my opinion if you are approaching needing any more than 2 of these, it isn't worth the price. My two level, 2200 sqft house needs 2.
These devices do not have a dedicated backhaul, meaning that the communication of the mesh nodes is happening on the same band as connected devices. There is a small performance cost to that, but it hasn't been an issue for me. If wired backhaul is an option that's always recommended.

I'm guessing they're going to release the 6E version soon and that's why this is on sale. Just an educated guess.

I had one of these for a bit and returned it. Couldn't justify the price and while it's aesthetically pleasing, I did not find it had any performance gains over my old AC1750.

How do these compare to the ubiquity dream router?

Another unsolicited vouch for these (and frankly, other Amplifi equipment for residential) - they won't be the fastest, but they are by far the most reliable in my testing - I've used Orbi, Google/Nest, Asus ZenWifi, and TP-Link Deco mesh systems, and none are as reliable as Amplifi equpiment.

I run 3 of these in my home now, with around 80 devices connected. Never an issue.

Yeah, at this point I would not invest in new routers that do not have 6E. Especially one that is almost $300.

I am still using my Airport Extreme that I bought 5 years ago. I know wifi tech have made so much progress in last few years but my apple router is so stable that I never had to worry about connection being dropped or anything if that sort. I am really tempted to try this out but not sure if I need to fix something that is not broken (yet).

Can we order pickup & apply coupon during the pickup?

Else can I collect the coupon & order online if the product is not in stock at the store?

Very stable, Excellent router and great to use as mesh also. Up and down closer to 900mb. Very silent. Adds VPN path to your home network when you are on public Wi-Fi so you are secure. Also can test speed from the touch screen in the router and see which ones on your network are connected.
Is this Software VPN? or you have a static IP from the ISP?

It better to just buy two of these rather than the additional Mesh Point
Agree I am using three of these for my mesh network. I did not go with the mesh point kit

I have 2 of these in the house no issues. Wanting to get a 3rd to kill a crappy spot at the end of the house and for my garage but oh well.

I have gig speed fios and do not get full speed on wifi 6, not sure if it's cause I got like 50 things connected to it.

That said this is kinda old now, no wifi6e. At $300 you have lots of options.

Don't have one but FWIW my brother in-law is a senior network engineer and swears by these. I do appreciate the VPN tunneling to access home network for viewing Xfinity/Fios out of the house

Orbi is garbage in front of this
Can you elaborate on why orbi is crap when compared to this?

Supposedly this is 6000 sq ft coverage. That's pretty good. Surprised some on here needs 3x. Thick walls? Lol

If the Orbi works for you then I don't see how this is going to enhance anything.

One thing that I do like is the VPN functions which are built in so can't tinker with what's there but:
1. You can assign VPN server where your device on the road connect to your home internet through VPN to make your public WiFi connection safer (not that some public work won't let you do that)
2. You can have separate home networks based on AMPLIFI (doesn't have to be Alien) and you can route device from one home to another. For example your parents home network you can manage online and you can have your moms laptop tunnel through your network so you can RDP into it like it's your local network.

The thing I don't like is that it doesn't have VLAN settings and functionality. This one would be key.
