FWIW, I've been using this and 2nd USB port is one of the dislikes.

It feels much better built than a G14/G15/M16 for some reason...a bit less plasticky feeling.
On-battery time gets close to 6-7hrs of coding (w/ compiling but no emulators).
Tablet mode is a bit too big to hold comfortably and the viewing angle isn't good enough so screen looks a bit uneven.
Vents don't blow directly at screen and expansion slots for mem/SSD are nice for flexibility.

Have had a few weird windows crashes and one time the SSD didn't show up until power cycling so I'm not sure if I got a bad one...

Looks like it's integrated into the "ROG XG Mobile Interface" port.

What you're paying for is the 2-in1 convertible form factor and touchscreen. All 2in1 variants of the same laptop (e.g envy, zenbook etc) all cost more even with the same exact specs.
But I agree, the price is too high. Bestbuy just recently discontinued the mini-led 3070ti version that cost $2700 if I'm not mistaken

It's a 2-1 you aren't getting another 2-1 that is this powerful.

I was just going to buy this device. Be aware this model is not the one with the mini LED. Going to spend the extra money for the nicer display

Not the person you replied to, but yeah you're spot on. I do wonder though, who wants a 2 in 1 that's nearly 4.5 pounds?

Have you used the 2 in 1 functionality at all? I think if there's an actual use for it, I'll probably grab this. If not really, then Legion Slim has a numpad lol

Even though it's not the mini-LED version the screen on this thing is absolutely gorgeous and a big reason why someone would want this laptop.

Would you say this is a good deal? Reviews seem pretty mixed on this since they really tried to do it all, 2 in 1 and Gaming.

This would be an amazing deal if they had kept the normal specs, but it looks like everything has been downgraded except for the 1 TB SSD
