I have the 13" version of this as my daily driver. It does everything really well, and I mean that. Battery is ~6 hours of regular use; decent power for 1200p gaming; the screen is very bright and with no backlight bleed. 2-in-1 capability is fine for short stints as a large, chubby tablet. Speakers get shockingly loud. The mousepad is very solid and so is the keyboard. I switched to G-Helper which is overall superior to Armory Crate. There's options to control the heat, but even when it's in the high 80's or even low 90's under full load, I don't feel the heat on the keyboard.

Do I wish it had a low-powered 3060 instead of a 3050 ti? Sure. And I still get the occasional weird bug (the low-battery performance tank, a key stuck on the keyboard, etc.). But at 2.87 lbs., there's nothing like this, and its big brother is probably a similar unicorn. Asus just makes some really nice kit in their ROG lineup, especially if you're willing to do a bit of tinkering to control temps.

I ordered the open box one, instant regret. Screen was damaged, WiFi card didn't work and the charger was heavily worn. My "open box" excellent condition ROG came in without the box!
