Had this saved for later and saw the $500 off this morning. Picked up for my son for HS graduation and to be his college laptop. He's a gamer, but was looking for a 2 in 1 design. Seems to meet his requirements and with 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, and a 3060. He'll have his full gaming rig with him too. Seems like a great solution.

$1,500 for a 3060 is just really hard to swallow. With the new cards on the way, I would think you could maybe pick this up for less in a few weeks or so.

Considering this as a replacement to a 2021 G15 for the touchscreen and webcam (too many zooms where I have to join from a second device to be on camera). Was going to wait for a 4000 series gpu laptop with a ryzen cpu but those don't seem to be releasing yet in a similar form factor and weight. Battery life is my main priority and I don't have high hopes for the 13th gen intels delivering anything anywhere near AMD cpus. Bought this for store pickup but not sure if I'll open/use it yet.

If he's already taking his own rig I wouldn't have bought a gaming laptop imo.... He'll most likely not use it.

Kids sure are spoiled these days.
My father wouldn't even consider buying a new NES game for us unless we managed to beat our current game 3 times....
Still working on it.

I read that as, this laptop WILL also be his full gaming rig. A kill two birds with one stone scenario.
