Good desk PC sub with larger bookshelves or in tight living room. Effective to 30hz when wall loaded.
I have the 10" and 12" versions of these. The "12 packs a good punch if you want hard hitting bass for music. The 10" is good for movies. Either one is a must have for the 5.0 system that often shows up here. I would recommend getting the 10" at thos price if you don't have a sub for surround sound, it adds such more to your sound

Would like to hear feedback on the sound quality of this sub from those who own one.
I have it paired with KEF Q150s. I think it sounds great. It sits under my desk right next to a wall and provides more than enough bass for a large bedroom. I use it mostly for music while I'm working.
That's not a technical review but I've had zero issues with it.

Sorry! You're right - they come in 808 (8inch) and 810 (10inch) versions. I thought the smaller one was 10" so if this is the big one then get it! It really has some thump when laid on the ground or against a wall. My neighbors can hear it from inside the house with the windows closed.

Elac BS41 also good, but they are bass heavy and sound bit bloated. (Also tried)
Never tried the cheap Sonys so can't tell.
And don't forget that these are passive speakers, so you need an amp.
