Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.
If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

That is not what the rep told me....he will be calling back on Saturday so will check again with him. I already have an internet line from TMobile so that would not be new. I'm hoping he was telling the truth that I could drop the new phone line later
.
Again, T-mobile Customer Service reps are known to be wrong very often. Either because they didn't informed themselves about the promo ie ignorance or because they are intentionally trying to get commission by selling you another line.

If you didn't have a voice line you did need a new line, if you already had one you did not. You are still on time to try to have them make things right. Do not wait for them to call you back, call again and ask why the other rep added a new line. I recommend using T-Force as usually you get better luck with them.

I have Simple Choice Unlimited and did not had to add any new lines to get this promo because I already had a voice line and clearly stated on the terms of the promo.

Again, if you didn't had any VOICE lines then yes, needed to add a new one. If you already had a voice line then there is no need to add one.

With T-Mo's chat on the app and they don't seem to know the promo. Asked me for a screenshot. It's on their homepage Frown

Debating if I should bail and try again with someone more knowledgeable.
Tell them the promo is "2022 HINT P22".

Are you talking about the 200mb freebie? I had mine up until about a year ago.
I still have it. It's been across a few iPads too. With 6Gb tethering it's kind of pointless but it's the principle of the thing, dang nab it!!!

Do you need to have magenta max and add a new line for this promotion? I'm seeing mixed feedback and wanted to inquire and what's the best way to get the promotion? I also see some getting $100 GC

Has anyone tried this as full on replacement for their home internet? I am paying $55 for AT&T fiber would happily want to switch to $25 if it really works. With AT&T I am on their lowest 300 mpbs plan but it work for both me and my roommate working from home!
If you have AT&T fiber, I implore you to stay with it. I've been using T-Mobile for 6months now, speed will fluctuate A LOT, can range from 5mbps - 650mbps. The 5mbps started this week, seems like because of this promo created more users. I wish I have fiber at my area, $55 is worth it! Used to have cable @300mbps (stable) but paid $75/month.

T-Force is basically their social media customer support team. Can be contacted via Facebook Messenger or Twitter DM. Prior to the merger, they were the top-tier customer reps, being able to address issues that even the normal phone reps would have trouble with and sometimes making some really good device offers.

They haven't been the same since the merger but it's still an leisurely way to solve issues rather than waiting to talk to someone on the phone.
