Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.

If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

Congrats! You will receive your promotional discount from T-Mobile as long as you maintain eligibility.

If so, you're good.

How long did it take for you to receive this email after you signed up and after it shipped?

is there a download cap? xfinity cable eg has 1.2T monthly limit
We did a trial a couple of months ago. My wife and I went through the "fast" data in a week, and it slowed down to dial up speeds. I spoke to a tech about it and when I questioned him about it he said he would never get T-Mobile internet for that very reason.

Same here!I signed up at 12:30 .It was showing $20/month.Now it shows $50/month after $5 auto pay discount.I did not make a screen shot ,thought that their were going to send me a confirmation, but they never did sent anything showing the monthly price I saw during sign up.
The promotion shown was 2022 HINTP18.Hoping this will change once the device is activated.
Same here. Did anyone get a screenshot of that checkout page? Kicking myself for not doing that. It showed $50/mo until I activated. Then I got a confirmation text with the discount, but it's now $55-$5-$20=$30 instead of $20 total.

Yes. It's not meant for roaming. Eventually they'll turn you off.

How does one get the "insider" discount?
Not sure. I got mine years ago at some event where there was a T-Mobile booth.

how does Tmobile supply 5G to your 'home'... do they give you some type of setup box which receives their cellular 5G signal, and then has ethernet ports and acts as a WIFI router?

Exactly. Just like a 5G phone with hotspot turned on but beefier hardware.

Not a new idea, I've used Sprint cellular boxes over 10 years ago which did this for remote offices we had but of course much slower Internet than today.

When I go to the link in the OP, I still see the get $100 back promotion. I don't see any mention of this promo and I'm directed to go to the nearest store to sign up. I'm located in Hawaii.

Is this normal?

When I originally signed up, it showed up as $20/month after autopay and HINT P18 discounts. Before I activated, it showed as $50/mo on my account. After activating, I got the confirmation text and it now shows as $55-$5 autopay-$20 HINT P18 for $30/mo. I chatted with support, who ultimately reassured me that after a billing cycle or two, it would end up as $25/mo -- obviously I have little faith in even that happening. I wish I had a screenshot of the $20/mo it was showing when I ordered. Still, I'm impressed thus far - my iPhone 14 pro max gets ~20mbps on a good day, but my TMHI box gets ~60mbps during the day and 200mbps at night. At $20/mo I'd keep it as a backup at least. Not sure I can live with the service limitations as primary.
