However if you aren't in a hurry to buy right now, AM5 early adopter tax should drop off early next year and DDR5 is already starting to slowly decrease in price. The DDR5 6000 CL30 kit I got on-sale for $225 just a month ago is now down to $210.
AM5 boards can be found for $160. Stop with your lies. You're the 🤡.

good call. I see that Amazon now has a $10 / coupon, which brings it down to $239. Take off another 5% (@$12) in Amazon credit by paying with Amazon Visa.

They are garbage? Do you have first hand experience or just talking shit? I mean it's pretty obvious that you and venemo are in every amd thread.
The B650 boards are a good value.

I don't think there are any economy boards yet since this is a new socket. So all of them are mid-tier or so level right now. But plenty less than $200.

Yeah, on one hand, the new processors really aren't *that* much more than the high end 5000's but when you consider a little more expensive motherboard, much more expensive ram, you need to buy a cooler separately, you need a more powerful power supply... it all adds up... you'll be paying several hundred more on a cheap 7600X system over a 5800x3d.
You get a better system. Much more future-proof and future upgradable, but the price gap is a lot more than just the increase in CPU cost suggests. For a lot of people the extra cost is worth it, for a lot of people it isn't. Personally, I plan on getting the best previous-gen system I can get now, and not upgrading again until the next gen tech is significantly less. $239 is very tempting for the 7600X but the overall price ends up way more than I'm comfortable with now.
