Probably non-upgradeable RAM (8 GB)...saw more mentions of non-upgradeable RAM and one reference to two RAM slots

IMO, the HP is better with better CPU, IPS screen, backlit keyboard and slightly bigger battery capacity (need to look at this closer). There is a previous thread here that some have confirmed HDMI 2.0 port on the HP as well. Overall it was worth it to me to spend the additional $50
