HP 15.6" Screen FHD Laptop, Intel Core i5-1135G7, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Natural Silver, Windows 11 Home, 15-dy2795wm https://www.walmart.com/ip/480912399
From a CPU perspective, the i5-1135G7 is almost identical to the i3-1125G4. They are both quad core with hyperthreading, the i5 having slightly higher clocks. (Intel has recently been blurring the lines between what features you get with a laptop i3 vs a laptop i5.)
The most notable upgrade one gets with the i5 is the on-chip graphics processing unit (Intel Iris Xe) is quite a bit faster than the GPU on the i3 (Intel UHD), so the upgrade might be worth it if one wants to do some casual gaming that would benefit from a faster GPU. If not, the extra $50 doesn't make sense.
Edit: Reviews indicate the Walmart i5 laptop does not have backlit keyboard.

I was on the fence on this unit, but value-for-$ just isn't compelling. If I'm in your situation -- $300 (laptop) + $131 (RAM+SSD upgrade) + tax spending budget -- I'd first shop in that price range for a 15.6". Even if you're pressed to find 16GB at that price point, but you could potentially get other upgrades -- CPU, graphics, display, ports, etc. -- that are a better value-for-$. **That** unit would then be well worth the cost to bump to 16GB (if it doesn't already have it).
Just another perspective. Good luck!

EDIT: Comments in the I5 Walmart listing state it is not backlit like the I3 at Target. So not identical outside CPU. So for the money I am going to stick with the 2 I purchased from Target @ $284 each after the Redcard discount. $66 cheaper than that I5. I still think it's a steal.

Also nice that it comes in S mode. Anybody who can't get the OS out of S mode is probably better off staying in S mode
