Product Description from Store
Make your air mattress warmer and comfier with the is filled with disinfected fleece fibers. It has great resistance against unwanted microorganisms and undesirable odor build-up. The soft fleece filling brings comfort to your body by making it feel more like a cozy traditional bed. The air inside an air mattress tends to cool overnight. This is what makes airbeds too cold to lie down during winter. But placing Aerobed Insulated Pad Cover on top of your airbed brings warmth. It traps your body heat, allowing you to sleep all night comfortably. The polyester pad cover is imbued with stain-resistant technology. You can easily wash it in the laundry machine without worrying about spilled coffee or wine forever ruining the fabric. You can reuse Aerobed Insulated Air Mattress Cover with any 18-inch tall airbeds.

This would be more attractive than the sleeping bag I put on top to keep from having all my body heat sapped by the mattress, but worry it still be too thin if it's just fleece and a bit of padding
First time I ever slept on an air mattress like an aerobed, I was astonished at how cold it was.
I ended up getting a feather bed for it and frankly, it was actually a very comfortable setup for me.
But for $8, this seems like a fairly good way to go.
Concur. I had the same experience when I slept as a guest at a relatives house.... comfy, but the aerobed was a heat sink. Picked one of these up for my own guest bed so nobody has to go thru that.
$35 free ship threshold wasn't that hard to achieve - my cats always need cat food and WM's Sheba is priced the same every day as an earlier Amazon FP deal here.
Probably yes, but not the greatest. Aerobeds are about 2 mattresses high (or at least mine is and what this looks to be designed for) so if you put it on a "regular" futon or mattress, it's really not going to be form fitted. Will probably slide around a lot.
Sounds like it's treated with anti-microbial chemicals? It's probably just as thick as usual bed toppers With polyester filling?... actually it says fleece fabric filling so probably the same fleece in clothing that constantly sheds every time you wash it, polluting the environment… I wonder how they disinfected it, chemical probably?
You make a good point, but it's one that's applicable to most consumer fabric goods.
As far as my personal health concerns, I put a couple layers of old well-worn well-washed bedding atop my 'synthetic' mattress top(pers) before my cotton bedsheets.
Sadly, I'm not aware of an easy way to address the shedding of (polyester's) microplastics in laundering, etc. (other than avoidance).
The other way to address the concern of potentially harmful antimicrobial agents:
Research the precise method/chemical(s) used, and then 'dose' your wash with an appropriate solvent, surfactant, etc. If you need something harsh*, handwash outside (using a minimal amount of the 'wash aid'*), rinse thoroughly, air dry (outside), then machinewash by itself.
*beware, materials' compatibilities
Or, (if you can find them and afford them) just exclusively buy natural fabric goods.
Good luck if you want 'elastic'-anything; maybe, you're lucky and not allergic to latex.

Wow. I would think they'd want to sleep on something softer.
Hilarious!

I wouldn't even call this a matress pad. It's a thick bed sheet that has a "thicker" microfiber "top".
I can see it getting hot on a regular mattress. I believe it's by design as air mattresses tend to get ultra cold.
