I think the RX-A2080 has preamp output, so if you dont have have, I would recommend saving the money and getting an external multi-channel amp like Outlaw or Monoprice.

Why do you need to replace it?
I know it has preamp outs because I was looking at it a while back. I ended up getting a Denon AVR-X3600H, and I added an Outlaw 5 channel amp for Front Left, Center, Right and 2 rears. I used the Denon amp section for the rest of the surround channel for a 7.4.2 setup. It really works great.
