"I have already been in contact with the seller. TV arrived with damage to the screen and damage to the connection component. I was told to file a claim with the manufacturer, but manufacturer warranty is expired. I was offered a 20% refund but sale post states that tv had an insurance policy with Allstate which the seller has not responded or offered. I understand 20% off would be good for some but seller is not responding nor making the situation right".
Just an FYI: Samsung has all but abandoned the firmware in "The Frame" line of TVs.
This concept would have been good 4 years ago, but it's not even good for staging real estate homes anymore.
You can DIY a "frame" for any TV these days.
There's a lot of luxury items you can DIY, but that kinda misses the point.
Glad I paid for mine. Also glad I paid for a professional to install it. I DIY a lot of things, but the living room focal-point is not where we experiment with "almost good enough"
I am cheap as all get out - but I bought this for my wifey (in the 55") and she loves it. I also paid a professional to hang it, it's not as simple as the $30 mount you buy at walmart.
And no TV with an aftermarket or DIY frame is going to look as good as this. You are paying for how the TV looks off with this set, not on.
The frame itself is one thing, but this concept seems like it would work much better with an OLED display wouldn't it? Are these really convincing as not looking like a TV?

DIY framing of an off the shelf TV will be nothing like what you get with the Frame TV. I have the 65" in the bedroom and it's awesome.
That said this isn't a great deal. Samsung was recently selling these 65" new through EPP for under $1200 with free mounting service ($120) and two frames of your choice which are worth $150/ea.
Got this same model and love it! Get compliments from everyone that comes over. Only thing I hate is the subscription service for the art images. But there's lot of other things it can display that are even cooler.

Go look at some of the DIY results using a Neo QLED if you want to compare apples to apples or an LG OLED if you want to be shocked.
I wouldn't mention it if it weren't worth a look.
Commenting without seeing it for yourself is hardly keeping an open mind.
The reason to go with a Samsung Frame or BOE iGallery is the anti-matte film on the display that gives one a print paper or canvas like effect. No other manufacture does this. Just googled a few of the top DIY projects of people putting wood trim around their LG tv's and it somewhat misses the point. The flush mounting option on the LG G1/G2 gets one closer but it's still only halfway. The bigger C1/C2 displays uses the same screen as the G1/G2 and the firmware can be hacked to make them as bright but with the position of the controller electronics they can't be flush mounted.

Not an expert, just saying.
