"I don't get ownership".
Neither did millions of starving Soviet citizens.
You are fodder for the Great Reset. Hope you can get used to insect burgers, but I never will. Their mindset is that you will own nothing and like it, and you inviting it in.
Physical ownership is key to keeping your freedom of choice.

best bet is to try to actually make it to a store on release day, however, although this i wouldn't think is a particularly high-demand thing, so it might stay available long after the release date. always hard to tell with these, particularly when they're doing wildly varying print runs (some that are available years after they were initially released, while others sell out in that first week and never come back in stock). hope this helps, thanks!

It's literally streaming everywhere for free... (some with ads)

The TV series was the shizzle and was $5 (109 episodes) a while back. Much better use of money.

I don't understand it, we live in a time overflowing with entertainment content. TV, movies, games, music, books, comics, audio-only such as podcasts.
The cost? The time? The overall impact these physical objects have compared to digital? I've been to enough estate sales, garage sales and resale shops to never buy a single hard copy of consumed media ever.
How many times will you rewatch this? Never. The same goes for the other 100,000 movies/TV series you've bought in VHS/DVD/Blu-ray.
People like to reason with themselves that such and such is a good purchase, or not entirely nonsensical. The simple truth? - this is junk meant to milk more money out of compulsive shopaholics.
