Deal of the day from Macy's. I bought these a few years ago, and they were decent for the price and look nice. They do break in nicely and become comfortable to wear.

My 2 Alfani pairs of shoes died within a year. Not going to buy these brand shoes again.

$20 and a year of wear sounds about right

If you like the idea of getting new shoes and go in knowing they won't last it's fine. If you want really nice shoes it's best to invest a large chunk all at once. For most folks these will be fine to have and last many years. If you wear them daily and get a year you're doing great.

These are for guys like me, I barely wear them once a year. Nobody even asks the brand.

Sounds about right. I rotated between these and another pair for 2 years, and they are still good but about time for replacement. I don't walk a lot for my job, so that may change how quickly they wear though. The way I see it is, I could buy expensive genuine leather shoes and have soles replaced and keep using them, or I can just wear these out and just move on. I prefer the latter since my mind is at ease whatever happens to my shoes. When I wore expensive shoes, it bothered me when they got scratched.

I liked Alfani shoes back when they were actual leather. They lasted a while for $40 or so.

If your local Macy's doesn't have it, free shipping starts at $25, so just add a filler.

What's funny is I got it for $35 around Black Friday. Now it's $25 so bought it again for this price. Always happens during the holidays
