Otherwise, looks ok I guess. MediaTek P60T appears identical to MediaTek MT8183 [notebookcheck.net], just a tablet-oriented version. They will phase it out "soon".
I'm also hearing great things about Best Buy refurbs. Good prices for barely touched products.

1. Updates for a long time
2. Google Play Store
3. It's a good Chrome/Android tablet
There are almost never any great Android tablets, so I liked this because it's a Chromebook tablet (yes, they ARE different things).
An iPad still blows all of these away, but at what cost?

Are chromebooks Android tablets with a keyboard?

Chromebooks (as far as I know) ALL use the Chrome OS with no additional "skin" or operation system. Chromebooks, as long as it is during the devices "life" (which is usually stated!) will get all of the updates the rest of them do.
PLUS, Chrome OS looks, behaves, and responds very much like Windows - something people are used to. Android is more like a mobile device / cell phone. They are simply less user friendly in terms of being productive, people generally don't know all of the intricacies of using them, their "skins" make them all different (which leads to more confusion), and with all of the different updates out there they are all different as well.
I hope that helps a bit. I MUCH MUCH prefer Chrome OS to Android on a tablet, especially one that is 10"+ and can be a suitable as a laptop as well.
Edit: To add - SOME android apps don't translate perfectly to a Chromebook, that is true.

It does (and rep'd). I was thinking about getting a chromebook since I have an Android phone. I was hoping to get the pop-up notifications that I get on my phone where I can look at a snippet of the message without opening the app to do so. Would you happen to know if that is possible with a chromebook?
As a media consumption device and basic web browsing, it's great. Good screen, keyboard and kickstand, and I actually like ChromeOS.

It isn't really useful for anything than web browsing or light apps. Games run ok too but nothing great. Android apps really aren't optimized for tablets like this.
I like the form factor but there are a lot of limitations with the RAM and OS. Buying the pen is nice but you are limited again. One note is no longer available as a Android App. Office is no longer available on Chrome os as an Android App. I hate using the MS Office on the Web.
I kinda think you are better off with the lenovo duet 3 8gb available from Lenovo (300$) if you can deal with Chrome OS limitations. Or find a Surface Go 2 m3 (320$ from CDW refirb) if you need to use office apps in a 10 inch device. Both are going to run around 300$ and are going to be better long term.
