Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Can someone educate me please - while I get it that the line is free, it still requires a $35 investment to activate the offer. What is the benefit of this free line though - at the moment both myself and my wife each have a t mobile original magenta plan that we are each paying $60 for, so $120 a month billing under one account. So, if I invest the $35 (if I am eligible for the offer) how can this free line help me?
An all unlimited plan costs more than 35$ from any career these days. By investing on a mere 35$ one time, you have the option of using this line for a your future child or a current extended family member or just have it as a backup options. Its good to have options. You are sounding like 35$ one time is a big investment. Its not. Paying 35$+ every month is a big investment.

I chatted through the T-Mobile app and I am eligible on the Magenta plan that has three free lines already. $35 activation fee applies, but I think this is worth it.

Did I read that if I drop any paid line from my account this promo will not apply anymore?

also, the rep tells me that Magenta 1.0 has a limit of eight lines. I will need to change to the Magenta (9-12 lines) plan in order to pick up this deal.

i have Tmobile One plan
2 Paid Lines
2 Free Lines.
In the last week i added the home internet for $25.

Today i contacted Tmobile via the tmobile App chat feature. Someone came on pretty quickly. I was SUPER nice to her (not sure if that makes a diff)
Gave her the IMEI of my BYOD. She said i was eligible
She said i have to pay the $35 plus taxes for activation. I nicely told her that my friend got this deal and was also able to get a $35 manual credit applied to offset the activation. She said she could do the same.

So i was able to get the free line as well as a $35 credit to offset the activation fees.

Only isssue is that it is an Esim. I gave her the sim of a brand new phone that i had handy.. (that i want to sell) looks like that phone has been activated (esim). So i have to next figure out how to change phones..

chat from the tmobile app. took about 6 mins to connect, and another few mins for them to look up the promotion.
Thanks, when I open the chat, what specific question should I ask the rep?

Did you need to provide an IMEI phone or they'll just send SIM card?
No, I told them that I didn't have a phone yet. They said that it's still okay and will send the SIM card.

I think I must have gotten the slowest rep on chat. It took 46 mins but got it added.

Simple Choice Family plan here
The rep I am chatting with said they are getting slammed this morning. Hopefully mine will go through with out any issues.

When it first came out years ago I was eligible for the free line promos. I currently have 2 free plans on there. I was just hoping they decided to allow it again. I don't think I will ever change my plan though. I have to many other promos I want stacked to it.
Correct. It was possible to have 3 lines total but only during that time. Now it is not possible to get a line added free or paid. The system won't allow it. I'm not sure what you mean 2 free plans.
Most promos will carry over if you move to $120 One plan or if you move over to Magenta Max it will have features that are better then your current promos.

Ah wow, nice nice.

I had some questions:
1. How did you get another free line when you already had 8-9 lines?
2. Did you have to ask a T-Mobile representative to move you to the personal Magenta 9-12 person SOC a while back?
3. If the answer to (2) is yes, did all of your promos successfully transfer over to the 9-12 person SOC?

TIA.

You could always convert to a physical sim card
