Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

I'm on a T-Mobile One plan with 6 lines for $100 with tax, kickbacks. I tried T-Mobile Messaging on the app and 3 separate times it said I'm not available. I like to use the plans on devices like watches and iPads if not in use.

Any tricks?

I had asked them multiple times about adding a free line whenever the offer pops up in Slickdeals but the answer had always been no. I guess loyalty does not count with these corporates. Had I switched back and forth I could have gotten better deals. As I said earlier T-Mobile sucks. 😠😠
Yeah that's unfortunate Frown It can be a hit or miss on it, and T-Mobile has been consistently inconsistent with their promos. Some here had to fight to get their promos even when they should qualify.

My account was eligible and got the promotion. Have been with T-mobile for ~5 months. Have two paid Magenta Max lines, with a buy two get one free line. Also have insider discount. Talked to Tforce rep and they said I was eligible. Originally said they had to set up the line with $35 device connection fee. A little later sent another message that said they did some research and told me I could do it online myself for no fee and it would automatically apply aftwerwards. I went ahead and did it and within an hour or so got a text about the promotion and I already see it in my account.

FWIW, I saw someone mention cancelling home internet in the last year disqualifies you from the promotion... this may be the case, but I did cancel home internet this year, but it was just before I created this account (they were separate accounts under same name).
How did you do it online yourself?

For those that had a SIM card shipped. Do you see the new line in your account already?

Does it work for Simple Choice grandfathered plans?
Yes, I got it.

I just have to pay the 1 time $35 fee.

Just called, took all of 2 minutes and was told I didn't qualify, 8 years with Tmobile and on Tmobile One. Not sure how they determine eligibility.

So it's possible to add this free line and remove an existing line that's incurring a monthly fee? And not screw anything up?
I actually did this from recent deals. You have to wait 1 yr though.

Hm I'd be careful with that. From what I read through this forum and others is that removing a line may remove your free lines. I'd message with T-Mobile to confirm, using Messenger or via the T-Mobile app to ask, and also to have it in writing (or electronically) in case they go back on their word.

You can't check yourself. You need to call or text customer support.

1 QUESTION - ARE YOU FROM US OR NOT?

I am from the sales department. If you got the phone from T-Mobile, We'll check if they can replace the phone for you
just a second please

FROM US OR NOT?

I DON'T CARE WHAT DEPARTMENT YOU ARE "FROM"
Are you a racist? what do you care what country the CS is from? There aren't bad CS people in the US?

T-Force ain't what it used to be. Last time I had to reach out to them it was a 3 1/2 hour ordeal for a simple question.
