Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

So online order from our account will waive the $35 activation fee? Is it like that?!
Yep. Here's what the rep said regarding the online checkout still reflecting a $25/month fee:

"The Device Connection Charge is not something that we are able to waive on our end here. You're more than welcome to order through the website if you'd like! The discount doesn't show at checkout since the promo is paid out in monthly bill credits; on the bill you'll see the charge for the line, along with a credit as long as you maintain eligibility!"

That's a new one lol.
After trying 5 different reps from both message chat and through the app and T-Force, I was able to get a rep that knew what he was doing and went through with the promo for me and added the free line. Took awhile but at least its done. Now the wait start to see if it actually applies onto my account before the SIM card arrives in couple of days

Oddly after I added the line online I also got a link to apply for a $100 MC gift card with a promo code. But when I go to the link it says:
Quote :
Starting November 10, 2022, for a limited time, customers who activate a new line of qualifying unlimited Home Internet or Small Business Internet service will get a one-time $100 rebate via virtual prepaid card.
I don't know why that link was provided..... I wonder if it would work

I still don't see the new line on my account and it's been 6 hrs. However, the rep gave me an order number and I also got the confirmation email.

I paid the $35 directly not through monthly bills.

I wonder how long it would take for the new line to show up in my account.

Can anyone confirm?
You will see the new line when you activate new sim. If you use esim , it will show right after you activated

No free line for Magenta Max military. I really should have just stuck with the regular Magenta since all these free lines they have given out have made regular magenta cheaper then the military plans.
I think military max has bogo for the aal at the moment

Simple choice 3 lines, been a customer for probably 10+ years, not eligible. BS
I would try to chat again. Same situation with the simple choice but 6 lines and was able to get it. I told the rep I received a voicemail and told him the promo code. Good luck!

That plan can never get addition lines, Paid or Free. If you only need 2 lines then continue. If you think in the future you will need more lines then junk the plan.
That is incorrect. You can add additional lines to One Plus Promo

I contacted T-Force and also used the chat in the My T-Mobile App early this morning. Both reps said I was ineligible.

I decided to give one more try based on a comment that the system may still be updating accounts with eligibility. I contacted T-Mobile through iMessage and the rep confirmed that I was eligible for the promo. She did the transaction for me , paid $35, and activated a sim I already had on hand. The promo is already showing on my account!

So basically if you were originally turned down, worth a shot to try again later.

For reference, I am on Magenta Max with Insider with 2 free lines (now 3 free lines)

Ok so I got tired of waiting on twitter. They confirmed I was eligible but never responded after. So I went ahead and added it myself online. Activated the esim and waiting for the promo to post. At worst I cancel it if the promo doesn't post.

Can someone summarize this deal? So if two people are on the 55+ year old t mobile plan with 2 phones, does this mean they can add a 3rd line for only $35? So let say the other person uses a monthly plan with lycamobile but I believe they signed up for 1 whole year a while back. Can they sign up for tmobile 3rd line this way? Or how would that work if they are signed with lycamobile but they paid upfront for a year instead of monthly?

Does this mean you could add that person to this plan? So you pay $35 as a one time fee? But this would only be good for one year or how long? Or you get a 3rd line for free as long as possible as long as you have that active 55+ year old plan for 2 phone lines? Now they would have to port the number from lycamobile to tmobile?

This does sound like pay a 1 time fee of $35 and get a 3rd line for that one time fee? Can someone summarize this?

Bad luck chatting 1st time through app. Rep said this promo is only for accounts that don't have free line. Rep said my account is not eligible due to old free lines and insider discount.
Worse is All my T-Mobile lines lost service right after chat. Is this a coincidence or did the chat rep do something to my account?
I am worried and scared. Why did I chat anyway?
Still no service as I am typing.
