There is a new promo BOGO free line promo, ask your T-Mobile Customer Rep about "2023 Line P1" where you buy a line you get one free.
If you are still not showing correct promo give them the details to add correct promo:
Tell them the name (2022 BYOD Line P1), promo code (sp011)and if needed c2 doc (77abc)for reference to find this promo hope it helps .
Promo ID is 2022 BYOD Line P1. It seems this promo is limited to certain accounts randomly selected by T-Mobile.
Here's everything we know so far:
- Eligibility requirements are pretty much unknown. To check for elegibility the Customer Service rep has to bring up your account, go to your account profile menu, and under there it will list the promos applicable for your account. If your account was one of the lucky ones selected they will see HolidayUnwrapped promo for a free line memo under that menu. At this moment only T-mobile Customer Service can check if this promo shows up on your account's profile, no way to self check.
- Accounts must be checked for what is essentially a "memo" on the account indicating eligibility. Eligibility seems to be targeted to certain accounts and not simply by plan.
- Promotion ends December 19th.
- Cannot stack phone promotions on this free line. It's BYOD only, thus no future Trade-in or phone upgrade promos on this free line.
- You cannot cancel any lines once adding this free line for 12 months.
- DCC fee of $35 will be charged. Unless you do the Self-Service add a device or line BYOD esim option under My Account on your own, after confirming you are eligible.
- It appears any postpaid plan could be eligible, not just Magenta plans.
- Promo name on account will be 2022 BYOD Line P1 and is also known as #HolidayUnwrapped.
- Wait times with support are long, including T-Force. Please only send one message and be patient. It could be up to 5 hours or more before you get a response. You can go to a T-mobile Corporate store and asked them to check for the memo on your account for this promo.
- You can use an esim to activate the line.
- Onces you are confirmed that your account is eligible for the promo, you can order by yourself online. The promo will automatically be applied to your account within 7 days.
- The system is still applying the promo memo to some accounts, if you were told not eligible today, try again before the 19.
- Some plans have a max number of lines, if your account has reached that limit, even if you are elegible for the promo you might not be able to add the free line. Workaround to this is to move to a different plan.
- Good luck to everyone.
So far confirmed the following plans are compatible:
- Simple Choice Plans
- Magenta Max
- Magenta Plus
- Amp
- T-Mobile One
Requires paying one time DCC $35 fee (assited support). Unless you do the Self-Service add a device or line under My Account - BYOD esim option on your own, after confirming you are eligible.
55+ plans are not eligible, adding eSIM doesn't work either: no promotion shows up after self-service checkout, and your plan simply increases by $30-35. You will be charged for one day of service even if you cancel on the same day (this charge can be potentially removed via CS).

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"
Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.
UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.
Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

First, I checked my account online through a browser, I didn't see the promotion in the details section.
I called 611 anyway mentioned to them the promotion I saw, the guy put me on hold for at least 20 minutes total. At first he said I already had the 2021 free line promo, but I told him this was a different promo, a 2022 promo. After some more holding, he finally concluded my account didn't qualify... so far a little more than 30 minutes wasted, but to his credit, he actually called me back after I hung up to offer me the $100 for 4 lines deal that is also going on now, lol, persistent bugger....
Anyway, I decided to try the chat in the T-Mobile app. I typed in the code "2202 BYOD Line P1" and asked if I qualified for the promotion. This rep knew what I was talking about and told me I did qualify, going against what my online account stated and against what the phone rep stated earlier, but hey, I'm not the one to question this. I even asked about an eSIM, but decided it wasn't worth the trouble and went with the physical SIM because the rep wasn't sure how an eSIM would work. Granted this chat session took over an hour total with all the delays going back and forth, providing my IMEI, providing payment info for the $35 activation fee, confirming/agreeing to the terms, and finally completing the order and getting me an order number.
So after about 1.5 hours (which I spent most of it reading almost 40 pages of this thread LOL), now I have 4 lines for the "price of 2", thanks for this thread!
I'm really unsure what the criteria might be. It could possibly be based on eligible plans (ONE in this case seems to be eligible in your case) but being the lucky "randomly selected" account.
I chatted with 3 Tforce agents, all told me my plan is ineligible.
I chatted with 6 Tmobile App Chat agents, 3 told me I am eligible, 3 told me I am not eligible.
Spoke with one 611 agent who hadn't heard of the promotion and wanted to call me back on Monday.
I would take information provided by Tmobile App Chat agents with a grain of salt unless the promotions are already showing up! Tforce seem to provide the most reliable information.
2 lines for $80
+ 2 Free Lines on US Promo (from 2016?)
Was able to chat with support on T-mobile App and they added the line no problem. Since I dont have an extra phone at the moment they are just sending a sim in the mail. $35 connection charge but I dont really care about that.
Worse is All my T-Mobile lines lost service right after chat. Is this a coincidence or did the chat rep do something to my account?
I am worried and scared. Why did I chat anyway?
Still no service as I am typing.

Even better, I was at 9 lines which apparently used to be some sort of max, but the store rep was able to call into the magic tmobile support number and the extended me to an account that can have up to 12 lines...
Maybe someone else is in a similar situation. If you thought you were maxed at 9, try anyway.
We were talking about original 2 for $100 T-Mobile One plan
Asked for the free line promo through T-Mobile app chat and rep asked for proof; provided screenshot of 3rd line free deal + infographic found on Reddit. Rep verified I was eligible and took screenshot of rep saying that my plan would not change; was then charged $35 and used esim to avoid $10 sim fee. Got a text 30 min later saying promotional service discount will be remain active as long as I maintain eligibility.
Fast forward 3 hours later. I go into T-Mobile app chat again and ask for a rep to add one plus promo to the free line I just added. Rep then offers me free line promo instead of adding one plus promo to the free line I just got, stating account is eligible for adding a new line that is absolutely free (rep's exact words) then rep says to only pay $35 activation fee and so I did. Used a physical SIM card and everything is good to go.
What's concerning is I didn't receive a follow up text stating the promotional discount would be active as long as I maintained eligibility; checked the T-Mobile service promos and it shows:
$30 2022 BYOD Line P1 (Additional Lines)
Took screenshots of both reps verifying eligibility with $35 activation charge and line would be free for the account. Now have 11 voice lines and 1 tablet line.
Have no idea what's going to happen with the next bill so fingers crossed I didn't mess up the account 🤞 since it looks like they gave me the same holiday promo twice.
