Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

I do qualify for this extra free line but beyond the $35 act fee, is it actually free? I understand $0 monthly but is their any goofy taxes or fee's added? Or is it 100% completely free?
If you're on a "Taxes and Fees included" plan, then there's nothing extra. If not, then you will need to pay the taxes and fees for the extra line.

The "ONE Plan All In Promo" plan does not qualify for this promotion per TMO support.
I got the same when I asked chat.

If I'm on MM 55+, can I switch to regular MM and get the promo?
Recommend checking to see if your account is eligible with your existing MM 55+. Some others in this thread with the MM 55+ plan have reported they were eligible. If you're not eligible, doubt that switch plans would help.

Me too! I have the same plan and am never able to get a free line! I've tried many times too. Just chatted through the app and wasn't eligible.
Someone else on here with a 55+ plan said they were able to get it? Wonder how/why?
every single time when TMO has free line promo, the 55+ ONE plan always have people saying they are getting it,
but in the end, it's always either a mistake or they all ended up being charged later on.
very very few got lucky to get the free line added and sticked.
i even contacted the exclusive leader team, the best they could offer is add a line and for free for a year LOL

If the additional line is added make sure to connect and ask for "no install" and remove that line. Otherwise simply cancelling may impact your free line promo
I'm keeping an eye on the pending charge on my CC, if it gets posted then I will call to do a "no install" option.

Anyone know how long between order confirmation email and order shipped + charge posted to CC?

I contacted T-Force and also used the chat in the My T-Mobile App early this morning. Both reps said I was ineligible.

I decided to give one more try based on a comment that the system may still be updating accounts with eligibility. I contacted T-Mobile through iMessage and the rep confirmed that I was eligible for the promo. She did the transaction for me , paid $35, and activated a sim I already had on hand. The promo is already showing on my account!

So basically if you were originally turned down, worth a shot to try again later.

For reference, I am on Magenta Max with Insider with 2 free lines (now 3 free lines)
How do you use iMessage?

Did you have to have the SIM or device you are bringing in when you did it in store?

Some reps are asking for the IMEI, while others aren't. You don't need a SIM. They will either order one for you or give one to you at the store.

No, just go in ask for this promotion, if you qualify, they'll ask for CC, activate SIM and give it to you

In Apple Maps, search "T-Mobile", then pick any T-Mobile location, and then click on the "message" icon. That should automatically open up a T-Mobile Business chat in iMessage

I just called customer service and my account qualified. No issues, took about 30 minutes on the phone with them.

$35.00 + Tax for setting up the line.

For some reason they ask a phone IMEI for the Sim card.

Monthly taxes and gov fees are about ~$5.00

I figured I wouldn't be eligible on the old One Plus Promo 2/$100 with Insider and Kickback because it's never eligible for anything. I tried the chat anyway and the rep told me he would "put me on the wishlist" and I'd be notified when I become eligible. There's no way that's a real thing, but I thought it was funny.

They wanted the '10' rating on the survey they'll send you... lol ...as anything less, they get dinged on their performance

Tried yesterday Dec 15 via app Chat and phone call. No go. Magenta Max 2 paid lines, 2 free on US Lines. Did app chat today Dec 16 and got free line, completed in about 20 minutes. Paid $35 DCC.

"Thank you for letting me know that you would like to see if your account is eligible and while checking on your account I notice you are part of our undisclosed special offers and as a gift for loyal customers like you, to be honest, not everyone will have a chance to take advantage of this FREE Line on us Forever, this is part of 2022 Holiday deals but undisclosed since not everyone eligible."

Have the T-Mobile one 9-12 line plan no insider with 9 lines (2 AAL, all lines have one plus promo, 4 lines have kickback & 1 line has international unlimited hotspot) and 1 AAL tablet line (this one's on us.)

Asked for the free line promo through T-Mobile app chat and rep asked for proof; provided screenshot of 3rd line free deal + infographic found on Reddit. Rep verified I was eligible and took screenshot of rep saying that my plan would not change; was then charged $35 and used esim to avoid $10 sim fee. Got a text 30 min later saying promotional service discount will be remain active as long as I maintain eligibility.

Fast forward 3 hours later. I go into T-Mobile app chat again and ask for a rep to add one plus promo to the free line I just added. Rep then offers me free line promo instead of adding one plus promo to the free line I just got, stating account is eligible for adding a new line that is absolutely free (rep's exact words) then rep says to only pay $35 activation fee and so I did. Used a physical SIM card and everything is good to go.

What's concerning is I didn't receive a follow up text stating the promotional discount would be active as long as I maintained eligibility; checked the T-Mobile service promos and it shows:

$30 2022 BYOD Line P1 (Additional Lines)

Took screenshots of both reps verifying eligibility with $35 activation charge and line would be free for the account. Now have 11 voice lines and 1 tablet line.

Have no idea what's going to happen with the next bill so fingers crossed I didn't mess up the account 🤞 since it looks like they gave me the same holiday promo twice.
that text message took roughly 18 hours after I completed the transaction over chat. so I wouldnt worry ....
