Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Question about this, my account looks like this, 3 paid lines 2 free lines, one of the paid lines has no promos at all. How can i do the bogo but cancel that old existing paid/no promo line and "port" that number to one of these new (free or paid) lines? Is that possible?

I was able to confirm that my Magenta account with 4 lines was eligible through iMessage chat.

I then manually added a new line to my account through the T-Mobile app. I selected eSIM activation since it waives the $35 activation fee. My current iPhone has support for dual eSIM's (existing line is installed on the primary eSIM), so I used the unused secondary eSIM for the new line. After verifying that the new lines' number and data worked I just deleted the eSIM since I don't need two lines on my phone.

I was able to see that the new free line appears on my account deals and promo page. Whenever I eventually need the new line I can just install the eSIM onto a phone, or if I want a physical SIM card, I can get one from amazon, log into my T-Mobile account to link the line to it.

First time taking advantage of a free line promo. Easy process overall, no out of pocket expenses.
Can you post the terms of the promo from your email confirmation?

I'm chatting with a rep on iMessage right now who says I will qualify for the promo if I switch from MAGENTA MAX 55+ to Magenta.

I want to know if there is anything in the terms that mention any restriction regarding switching plans.

If you mean can you double up with a device promos on this new line.No you cannot. This is just a free line not eligible for a device promo with it.

Now If you can you still take advantage of adding another line in a buy one get one free line promo Yes.

55+ Plan Eligible?
It should be, but it's not. IMHO age discrimination. I'm on magenta max 55+

None of the documentation from t-mobile when signing up for this deal states terms. You just get a text confirming the promo was added. Many in this thread state they have captured/taken screenshots of the chat for future issues. I don't know how helpful those would be in a dispute as they could just say the rep was wrong.

Tmo customer for over 20 years - for those that may remember I was with Voicestream. Have SimpleChoice. 2 paid lines, got a free line Nov. 2021. Saw this so called yesterday. Person could not find the offer, promised to call me today - has not called. Got bumped up to Supervisor - he told me to watch for offer in my email on Fri or Sat.

Went to a TMO corporate retail location. They checked - said I was not part of the offering.

Called this morning. Got another person. He was appreciative of my loyalty with TMO of over 20 yrs, but still only offered to give me another line for me to pay for.

Got on chat - person told me that offer is pre-determined by the system and it will show in your account once you are eligible to take the offer, but as of the moment, your account is not yet enrolled with this deal, but TMO is still working on it...

Told that I guess I was disappointed and will now have to cancel my TMO service. He said for a valued customer as myself he can request the promotion be applied to my account.

I asked that rather than requesting, why dont you just enable it?

They will waive activation fee. I requested SIM be mailed. Filled out form asking for credit card info and then got email sent to me

So he keeps saying he will call me on MOnday.

Stay tuned....

I haven't tried this, but doubt it would work. The OP states "Cannot stack phone promotions on this free line. It's BYOD only, thus no future Trade-in or phone upgrade promos on this free line." it doesn't say watches, but expect those would fall under the same category for this deal.

I heard the same thing yesterday, and I'm on the same SOC (10SCFM4) and got it today. I also have +2 free voice lines from a few years back.

I still have my 15% Corp discount, so I plan on keeping it for as long as I can.

I'd suggest trying back either later today (as the billing system updates?) or maybe tomorrow/Monday.

FWIW, I also have 0% faith I'm actually eligible for this promotion. I haven't been eligible for any free AAL promotions in quite awhile... and in fact, in a previous promotion where you could get a free AAL and free device, I signed up for it and had to fight it for months... eventually got the device waived (and kept it) and had to give the line up.
So I can't tell if you went ahead and ordered the line based on your post. If you did, you can actually find out right away when the sim card is shipped (notification); just log into your account and look under promotions and see if the new line is there with the promo attached. Since you have the same plan as me, please don't mind me if I'm using you as the guinea pig of whether our plan is eligible. If you find out you're eligible, please share and respond; I will go ahead and add a line on my new unlocked Pixel 7 eSim to avoid the $35 fee. TIA

Hey there! Thanks for taking the time to reach out about our holiday offers. We know that having the absolute best deal is a must these days and our promotions teams work so hard to make sure we can always offer that for you.

The current holiday unwrap offer you are referring to is an offer that our teams have predetermined eligibility for. That has been marked on the accounts that qualify and our care teams are able to check for that offer and get the new line order placed when qualified. Your account has not been marked eligible for this offer but the great news is that we have a wide variety of other offers available for this holiday season that might appeal to you! You can see the full list of those here: https://t-mobile.com/offers at any time and we are always available to discuss any that jump out at you so you know what they might look like on your account specifically!

We are here if you have additional questions and hope you have a happy and healthy holiday season!
